News - Lisa Tour Dates Announced Tomorrow - 29/04/2008

According to Lisa Hannigan's myspace site, more tour dates for Lisa's upcoming Irish tour will be announced tomorrow morning. Apparently 75% of the dates have been confirmed so far and these will be detailed on Lisa's myspace calendar.

Tickets for Lisa's gig in Cyprus Avenue, Cork, are now on sale.

News - Damien in Norway - 23/04/2008

Damien will be giving a solo performance at this year's Traena Festival in Norway (July 10-12). Some more details (in Norwegian) here.Thanks to RonjaGirl for letting us know.

In an interview with the Christian Science Monitor, bestselling thriller author Harlan Coben talks about his favourite music:

My favorite discovery of the last five years would be Damien Rice, the Irish singer. I just love his stuff. Both albums, "O" and "Nine." But I would say "O" is probably my favorite CD of the 21st century.

News - Liam Finn Competition - 15/04/2008

Congratulations to Mort and Jemarami for winning Mark Geary's new album Opium, which goes on sale in Ireland this week.

Thanks to Independent Records, we also have two copies of Liam Finn's new album I'll Be Lightning to give away. Liam, son of Neil Finn from Crowded House, will be touring Ireland next week in support of the release of this new album. You can enter our competition in the forum and we will announce the winners on Monday.

News - Vyvienne in Dublin - 13/04/2008

Hot Press is reporting that Vyvienne will be one of the artists performing at this month's Shoestring Collective gig in Dublin. This intimate gig will take place at the James Joyce Centre on North Great George's Street in Dublin on April 26th and will also feature Kila's Colm Ó Snodaigh, as well as comedy, poetry and short story readings.

News - Mark Geary Competition - 06/04/2008

Mark Geary is one of our favourite singer/songwriters and a fantastic live performer. On April 11th he will be releasing his third album Opium. Thanks to Independent Records, we have some copies to give away. You can enter the competition in the forum and we will announce the winners on Monday, April 14th.
