damon plays it in F# rather than G. also its not just the four chord u bring your little finger down a string for part of each chord though not the finishing minor chord Bm or Cm (depending what one ur playing).

F# 244322 F#(2)242422 same with the other chords not the minor though.

From looking at the video of him on Morning Becomes Eclectic, he was actually playing it quite different. He is playing a G, but not a full barre. He plays all chords using his thumb around the neck to fret the 6th string(low E) notes. Then use your index, middle, and ring fingersto fret the the parts of the chord on the G, D and A strings. The pinky is uses to change the chord on the G, B and C chords(though Damien doesn't always change it on the C), adding the 4th to the chord. Damien likes to use his thumb to play the 6th string on a lot of his songs.

Yep, he plays Creep the 'standard' strumming way that many have adopted, keeping the same barre chord up the fret for all, except the fourth, where he changes. Like you also pointed out, Damien uses his thumb to fret the low E, so sometimes his chord shapes are not what they appear.

I am a big fan of morning becomes eclectic on npr. HIs version is cool.

Hey I just strum the bar chords in this pattern over and over again

-355433- G

-799677- ?

-8(10)(10)988- C

then 8(10)(10)888- Cminor

Sorry about the dodgy Chord arangements, the best way to get the strumming pattern is to listen to Thom Yorke doing it alone on his acoustic, i got it off kazza.

ok let me go back on what i said if he plays it with blowers daughter he plays it with F# if merely on its own like on morning becomes eclectic its g. and yeah it seems damienhardly everbarres his chords usually leaving bottoms strings open.
