One of my favs. is insane. But "orchard" is a single off an old juniper single and i think its also one of Damo's best. I love the lyrics "..lost my faith in the orchard..plucked a branch spoiled the fruit". You're right though its really hard to pick one. Hes just amazing.

Sionna, I used to think it was cos' nothing rhymed with 7, but then I thought Heaven obviously, and eleven, and Pat Nevin (Can't remember who that is but it definitely rhymes). So to answer your question no I don't know. However in some traditions 7 is considered an evil number and maybe Damo believes that. I have a question back atcha! Does he say rule no. 6 don't be a wix? What is a wix? That bit of the song annoys me to be honest!

Okay Shane, the lyrics on this site say 'don't be pricks', but I think it sounds likes don't be a wix as well and no Ive no idea what that means . Now I know what to ask him if I ever meet him! Someone else told me he doesnt use 7 because it has 2 syllables and that it just won't fit since all the other numbers have one syllable. I think I'm more confused about that song now, ah well!

I think he says "wicks" (like a cancles wick)cause he cant say Dick or Prick if its being Recorded.Otherwise it wont be played on radio. He does the same in some versions of The professor when he sings"apart from his wick".Maybe Im naive thinking you cant say dick on the radio but thats my 2 cents.

Man, after reading several of these posts I realize that there are a ton of Damien songs that I have yet to hear. After I bought "O", I don't think that I listened to any of my other albums for a week. I think that my favorite song or songs would have to be...Blower's Daughter and I really really like Cheer's Darlin. Blower's Daughter is just an amazing song completely through and when Lisa comes in toward the end, I find it so moving. And in Cheer's Darlin, I actually picture him drunk and being just way too emotional in the song. The end though captures the feeling of the song I feel. Wow, I seemed to write a lot right there. Oh well, the cd freakin rocks.

So far I haven't heard much others from Damien except the ones on "O", so I gotta pick my favouritefrom those.. and that is pretty damn hard to do. I describe them as being beyond breathtaking, and that really goes for all of them..

But if I have to choose, I think I go for Cannonball. In that song Damien sings out loud my mind. It's amazing.

It is so hard to pick. Blower's Daughter is breathtaking. Cold Water had the hair on my arms stand up straight.

My favorite hands down has got to be "Cold Water." That has to be the most beautiful piece of complex simplicity I have ever had the pleasure of listening to and trying to play myself. I love everything by Damian but that song just does it for me!

I am also a bit jealous of all of you from Ireland who are lucky enough to hear Damians unreleased songs, man, I wish! I hope he becomes more popular in the states! and Damian, if you are listening, PLEASE come to Florida!!! no one great ever comes here (not that I blame you) but Im stuck here and I would LOVE to see you!smileys/smiley19.gif
