I'm going to get a few t-shirts printed up as some people have said they are interested.

Please e-mail tshirts@EskimoFriends.com ("]tshirts@EskimoFriends.com[/url] and let me know what size you'd be interested in getting, just so I can figure out how many of each size to order.

The t-shirts will be black and will cost under 20 euro.

The front design will be:

anda small image will be on the back, at the top of the t-shirt:

It should look like this:

So please e-mail me at [url=") if you think you might be interested and let me know what size you would order.

Thanks!

Emmett

If the song is indeed about one of Damiens friends who died. I think your gammy t-shirts might be a bit in bad taste.

Sorry

BarBar, have you read Damo's interview on VH1? When talking about the opera bit in Eskimo he says

"I rang up my Finnish friend - who looks a bit like an Eskimo so she sort of inspired the song"

So I think other story may be wrong. Even if it were true, what better way to remember a friend than them sitting happily in an igloo with loads of other friends listening to Damiens music?

And I like the design, so big thumbs-up on the shirts from me!

thanks. it's not about his friend who died. he was feeling down, sitting in a room, after having spent days of trying to write a poppy song and the words came out when he saw a picture on the ground of his finnish friend who had just gone home after having spent some time with damien. he thinks she looks a bit like an eskimo, hence his eskimo friend.

Can someone exlain the whole Frames mask thing!? Only a relatively new Frames fan, and didnt know what was going on. I've had my head burried in the sand the past 13 years!

You can see them here, daol20 (sorry, don't know your name):

http://www.public.fotki.com/Spudy/witnnessframes/ ("")

The Frames' manager handed them out to fans at Witnness. I think the band first wore those around the time their last album "For The Birds" came out for the performance of "Lay Me Down," which goes like this:

I will write you letters that
Explain the way I'm thinking now
I will return to you
What I have taken long before
I will return again
When it gets dark and day is done

And lay me down
In the hallowed ground
Down by your side I will stay
So lay me down

And if you wanna stay with me
Then let me know before it's light
I will recoil myself
Into the black and darkest night

And lay me down
In the hallowed ground
Where my father waits I will stay
So lay me down

And lay me down
In the hallowed ground
Down by your side I will stay
So lay me down

Sionna

Yeah I think Glen Hansard wore the mask in the 'Lay me down' video. So every1 who had one wore it while they played that song.It was cool going round in the campsite that night and frightening every1.

Thanx for that 'Angela'! I was at Witnness, and turned up to (i think) Paddy Casey...or maybe BellX1 and loads of people had them around their necks. I just thought it was something they were selling, and then at the Frames out come the band with them on. I hadnt a clue what was goin on!!!!..

(the names Daragh by the way.)

Hey Daragh Must have been deadly! I can just imagine I got one in the mail from a friend via Dave from Road Records ! Not sure what I'm gonna do with it now - LOL.

And Angela is my real name! I love smaller message boards: I can usually use my name and it isn't "taken" by someone else.

daol20

You should have seen it at Witnness! All the people who got those masks, were wearing them as bandana's (not sure if thats the right spelling...) but the masks are smaller than your average bandana! So when they tied them around their head (the usual way) there wasnt enough length to tuck the bit on the top, behind the knot at the back (if you know what i mean...). So that bit was flapping about in the breeze! making them look pointy. This was happening with EVERYONE who was wearing one. At this point i didnt know what was going on. Thought the 'KKK' had infultrated the gig or something!

Was funny looking!!!! ANd it all made sense when the Frames came out an hour so later.

The t-shirts are definitely on the generous side. That is, the medium with not look like a tight spandex number. (Often they are smaller than you expect - these aren't.) Emmett said they are Fruit of the Loom.

Sionna
07-27-2003, 01:50 PM
Okay so, will the small ones be really small,as in size 8?Last time I bought a t-shirt over the net I got a medium which was abit too big.Anybody know roughly?
