yeah chat would be good, irc is probably the best solution, maybe if someone knew how to put up a irc chat applet typey thing then it would make it easier for those who are unsure of how to set it up.

ill look into the irc thingy as you can access the chatroom just via your browser without a load of java to load etc...

I have both a forum and chat room on my site - and they both work well. Mind you, you need to know the name of the chatroom to get in and we tend just to use it on a Sunday night from a few of us to get together and chat away 'real time' rather than just on the forum. The chat room has been running for a few months and the forum only for a few weeks but they both seem to work well together.


The chat room I use is at www.quickchat.com (http://www.quickchat.com) which I would recommend, but you does require your computer to be java compatible.

Maybe that could be an idea! Only have the chatroom open on a certain day. Cos the constant chatroom thing will just be a disaster. The forum breaks everything up into some order.

I'd vote no for a chatroom. But if your going with one Emmett, i'd suggest the only once or twice a week idea.
