Stayed up way too long, but it was worth it.

They performed .... No! Not "Vocano"!"Cold Water"! Damien bathed in blue light, Lisa looking her dew drop beautiful self. I thought that was a courageous choice. It was beautiful!

Off to bed...

I know I was so happy he played that song... it's currently my fave on the album. I just really need more Tomo close-ups! :-D

Yah it was good alright. I can't wait to see him live finally...But gettin up at 6 this morning was hell after sitting throughseveral hours of bad bad, SO VERY VERY BAD talk shows last night. Do they actually think that they are funny? And I thought we couldn't get any worse than Gay or Pat. And what's with the commercials over here?? They take a break just after the opening credits and just before the closing credits!! Whats that all about? Only for Conan the Librarian to end the show without even asking Damien a question!!

Sorry, as you can see I'm not a morning person. I went off on a bit of a tangent there. It was definitely worth it. Great song, smashing performance...and Lisa....WOWW

I've been petitioning for a return since then but no luck yet )c: He did support Tori Amos on her UK tour a few months agobut she never came over here. (btw, this is 'trying to help site helper type person' Conor.)

oh, it's you! hi conor! must e-mail you properly tomorrow. yeah, i think he'd do really well over here. i don't know too much of his stuff, but i love sorry, so sorry.

and hi laura! yeah, cold water is one of my favourites, especially when they go into the chanting bit at the end sometimes with lisa singing "am i lost" over and over.

I should have introduced myself properly now that I think of it. I like his album, but it's nothing compared to his live stuff. I can sort you out with some bootlegs if you're interested? Try and get your hands on his newer 'Madrigals EP' if you can, it has a great 30 min long live DVD with it.
Indeed it does Laura, I converted most of my friends to him a long time ago (c:

How's it going?

Since Damien went on Conan O'Brien I have been getting e-mails from my website ( www.damienrice.net ("")) Thinking that I am Damien. I have been offered beds and dinners in Chicago, New York and Boston. It's a pity that I'm not him or I'd never have to pay for a Bed & Breakfast in America again !!! Does this happen to you Emmet ???

loved the switch to cold water. thought their performance on theconan's show was alot better than the letterman show. lisa kept her eyes open this time.

her and damo drove me nuts during letterman, because they were so introverted and barely opened their eyes.with the tv already creating a distance, and then performing withtheir eyes closed most of the time, it was hard for me to enjoy it as much as thelive shows where the audience is much more a part of the performance.

Hi everyone... I'm an American who considers himself "on top" of the new music scene (which is a pointless and self-defeating comment, considering the splintered nature of music today)... and I saw Damien Rice on Conan. It was my first time of ANY exposure to him & his music. I'd never even heard the name before.

As can be expected (especially considering the crowd I'm talking to here ) I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY! I'm not the type to use bulletin boards, but I had to find more info about such an amazing artist, and it's led me here. I've downloaded a bunch of songs from "O" which will be my temporary fix till I buy the album (don't know the situation in the EU, but here the recording industries are starting to actively pursue and destroy music fans for downloading songs... another symptom of dysfunctional commercialism).

Here in the US there definitely needs to be more exposure for Rice... I can't begin to express how welcome a "new" voice he offers to this crass music scene!

Just watched the Realvideo file of the Conan show "Cold Water" (cheers Emmett & Dan!)... WOW.

It's better than the album version I reckon! Damien and Lisa's voices have never sounded so beautiful....

Angela

I think the most beautiful I've ever heard Lisa in recorded form was on "Other Voices" (apart from her killer solos). If only I could hear her in real live, but I guess that isn't going to happen

Hey, Angela, I know what you mean....

I'll be seeing Damien in October here also & I'm really bummed about Lisa not being there with him this time around. I'm sure it will still be an incredible show, though. Looking forward to it!
