Anyone have the tabs for fool? I can't get the song out of my head !!

If anyone had Tongue either, that would be great !

well, ikinda figured out a little bit of fool...

im almost certian the song is in Dm.

the first chord is probably just a normal dm (xx0231)

i think he plucks the D string then arpegiates the strings of the Dm chord in this order: g, b, e, b, g (over and over)

then he changes chords, but i dunno what chords

and i just thought this was kinda cool, even tho its kinda useless. lol.
the last chord in the galway version of fool is this: (xxx786)

and i dont know any of tongue. if anyone can totally figure out these two songs that'd be good.

The version I heard was in A minor. It was (roughly):

Am Dm G C E

In the speedy-uppy bit at the end he sometimes uses Am add9 (xx7557). Pluck the D string and then the rest to get the oompah-oompah thing going on.

Tongue is also in A minor (when Damien plays it). I'm not certain about it all but it's roughly:

Verse:

Am F Am F

Dm G Dm G

Slow chorussy bit:

F (F/E F/D) G C (C/B Am).. F (F/E F/D)G C (C/B Am)...

F G Am... Dm G Am (Hit distortion pedal, start jumping around...)

Hope this helps

tongue sounds pretty close to me. in the intro, are the chords the Am, F thing?

also, it sounds like theres a 3rd chord in the chorus to me. (in tongue)

The intro, and all the thrashy bits in the middle tend to be based around Amod Gmod, or barred A, barred G (First two strings, sometimes the third too). The BellX1 version of the intro is groovy by the way, in Em, play 09xxxx, bend the 9 and then 07xxxx:

Where in the chorus? When I play it I would continue the bass line alright thus:

F (F/E F/D) G C (C/B Am Am/G)

It sounds nice when finger-picking. Is that what you meant?

A: (577655)

G: (355433)

oook, i just listened to the munich recording of tongue, in which he does the intro acoustic. i think i've got it pretty damn good rite now. heres my tab:

e-(12)-(12)-/-15--/-(12)-(12)-/-3-/-(12)-|
B-(12)-(12)-/-15--/-(12)-(12)-/-3-/-(12)-|
G-(13)-(13)-/-16--/-(13)-(13)-/-4-/-(13)-|
D-(14)-(14)-/-17--/-(14)-(14)-/-5-/-(14)-|
A--14---14--/(17)-/--14---14--/-5-/--14--|
E--12---12--/(15)-/--12---12--/-3-/--12--|

(yes, those are 12's, 13's, 14's, 15's, 16's and 17's andnot 1,2's etc.)

tell me what you think.

The one I have sounds like (12 12 14 14 x x) - (5 7 7 x x x) - (3 5 5 x x x)which fits in with the A minor key. I haven't heard the Munich version though.

Dan (trying to barre the 15th fret on his acoustic!)

Ahh sneaky little dip. Far too cool for me.

My acoustic has really high action. I can barre the 12th if I don't mind it sounding like this: clunk clunk clunk...

for the people without the dip. this intro sounds good

barre Am (emphasis on low strings), slide upon the low e string to(12 12 14 14 13 12) (emphasis on high strings) then slide down to barre g (3 3 5 5 4 3)
