I can't comment on the 335, having never played one. I own an SG andam planning to buy a Les Paul, but I'd go for the SG first. High bends (20/21/22nd fret) are easier as it's a double cutaway. smileys/smiley2.gif

It's up to personal taste though - they're both legendary guitars !

it depends on what style you're playing and what tone you're going for... each of the three guitars have a different sound in my opinion...

SG's? not worth the money...

335?...yeah, some lovely bluesy tones coming out and alot comfier to play than an SG.

Les Paul?... thats got to be the one you buy.

is money no object?

i would stay away from the sg, in my opinion it limits style a little

personally, i don't like the sg. i agree that it's notworth the price.the 335 has much richer tone, les paul - can't go wrong.

I've been playing a Gibson ES-135 for years. They're wonderful. I tried a 335 for a while but just felt better with a 135. Plus you'll have a better time of making your own tone instead of playing (or being caught in) the Paul or SG sound.

just the take of a newbie.
