View Full Version : GIG IN JANUARY??
i've heard rumours that our beloved damien is supposedly playing in vicar street in January.. my friends asked in ticketmaster there a while ago and they said that they heard there was supposed to be a gig but didnt know anything about - its supposed to be very low key or what have you...
if anyone has any info on this PLEASE let me know... PLEASE!!! i've been to his website and they didnt say anything about it and it doesnt say anything about it here but its pretty definite that it will happen... so as soon as y'all know anything TELL ME!!

i was on the ticketmaster (http://www.Ticketmaster.ie) website and they showed that there is a week with no performances between sunday 23rd and saturday 29th of january in Vicar St. So he might be able to play then which is good cos my birthday is on the thursday before that week.

well by next january he'll be doing some warm up gigs for the release of the next album, so he'll have to start playing somewhere... all his gigs lately are low key after the fiasco last february, so i guess we'll just have keep our ears to the ground.
i just realised... that was my 500th post, hooray</font>Edited by: Bumpman

Yes, there was a lot of moaning, wailing and gnashing of teeth.smileys/smiley36.gif
The shows were pretty mediocre too, compared to the band's usual standard.
ah yes, february. i remember moaning, not to sure about the wailing, but am definitly sure i was responsible for the gnashing of teethsmileys/smiley7.gifcuz there was rumours that the tickets actually went on sale for an hour before they were supposed to so that those "in the know" could get theirs

If there is a gig in January we should definitely do a big meet up again. It went really well the last time. smileys/smiley1.gif

I remember that. couldn't go anyway, on a weekday, but if I could I would have been pissed off....I had a meeting on the time they went on sale.
swear to god, he'd better be playing cork too...

it doubt that he would tour the new album and not play in cork... anyway he's worth the bus journey, not everyone lives in a major city.

Tomo told me at the Whelan's under 18s gig a couple of months ago that they "couldn't wait to tour Ireland again".

after all, he is a member of the site isn't he... i'm sure the big full irish tour (when it comes) will have been worth the wait. I met tomo at whelan's too, he smiles a lot, in fact he never stops smiling, maybe he's possessed...
oooh goody i hope he does play soon cause he was amazing last 2 times ive seen him... *sigh*
now what REALLY annoyed me was that gig he played in HMV during the summer... i would definitely have gone except it was on the day after i went to bloody irish college... if i didnt love that place so much i would have not gone just for that one gig... thinking about it i should've just gone late to irish college, but i couldn't really because i was a cinnire ARGH! i'm bantering!!!
ok, will defo keep my ears open for any upcoming gigs!
i got my Ben Folds tickets today! i'm SOO happy... just thought i'd throw that in!
