everytime i try and quote someone on a post, i end up with their whole schbiel. what if i only want a part of it? how do i do that? i am sure this is a fairly easy thing to fix...i am sooooo illiterate when it comes to my silcon friend (my computer!!!) thanks if anyone can help

Delete the text you don't want smileys/smiley1.gif Just make sure you let the two tags in place.

You can break it up into paragraphs, too. Just enclose the next bit you want to quote with exactly the same two tags again.

lol! the same thing kept happening to me at another board.. here you just make sure the two "[/QUOTE]" things that appear at the beginning and end are included. then erase everything you dont want in the middle. as long as the two "[/QUOTE]"sare included, i think it should come out properly

holy mackarel, it worked. When I tried it before I got all text no boxes or anything...cool thanks.. whoops, looks like I left out the meat of the paragraphs above...I will try harder...grrr...thanx though!
