Oh... I've just realised that on the front page you can select to 'minimise' forum sections that aren't of interest to you... so if you're not interestedin the 'everything else' section you can hide the breakdown of it's contents... or you can hide the 'igloo statistics'... and so you only see the information you want...

To do this there is a button on the right hand side of the blue bar at the top of each section... just click it to hide and click again to show it.

What other fancy features have people found?

Oh come on, there must be more...

Do people know about the "New Posts" button on the top bar there? It shows you the latest posts in all forums

Yeah I think you can chose to receive the emails or not...

Also the FAQ section at the top is quite good... this is the forum FAQ rather than the site FAQ... tells you how to use many of the features

You don't have to get or give read reports... when you send one and it asks if you want a read receipt click cancel... similarly when you read one, you can decline to send a read receipt

Ah yeah i know, but is the question REALLY necessary in the first place?

well, the reciept thing could be useful in the case where you've written a member who you are not sure is still around - if the receipt for the pm has been recieved thas been read and the person is still around, even if he she doesn't reply to it.
well that's as far as my logic would take me in that matter anyway - i rarely go on daytrips with that one though so i may be wrong.

on another note, i like how you can chose to open incoming pm's in a new window so that you don't have to interrupt what you are doing in the forum.

I'm liking this green light idea :) but as for the rest of the stuff, well it's v confusing to a simple person like me- I'll work it out --sometime..

i can turn off the read receipt stuff if that's what you'd like...

and you know you can start polls too? maybe i should start a poll to see if you'd like read receipts to be kept or not...

I love it that in the calendar everyone's birthday is put in on the appropiate day, with (i think) the age they will be in brackets beside their name...and you can request a reminder for the day too!
