This may only be a coincidence but there is a french novel called "The Story of O." I haven't read it but I've read a synopsis that describes it as a "sadomasochistic novel." I couldn't find any obvious connections between it at Damien's cd, and I know the FAQs page says he thought of the title while "riding his bike" one day, but it still seemed like a strange coincidence. Is any one familiar with this book? Do you think it has anything to do with the cd? Also, sorry if this question has been brought up already. I've only skimmed over the most recent threads.

Just Curious.

So...

I was browsing around my loacl one bookshop today, and i was looking for this book! And i looked in every section, and i could not find it! so i wander up to the Bookman, and ask him, if he would be kind and get me a copy! But he couldn't :( He says he isnt able to get them, cause his delaers dont carry it nomore! So we had a chat about it, as i havent read it! and he was telling me about how when he was my age, it was illegal to go in to a shop and ask for it! (Oh how times have changed).

Anyway, i got home and looked on Amazon.co.uk but its like 4-6 weeks! and im far to impatient to wait that long! Im of away next week, and was hoping to get a copy of it by then, so i had something to read!

So... Does anybody know where i can buy a copy from?? And advice would be sooo nice!!

PS: If you didnt know, but there is a DVD of the the book!

i don't know where you can get a copy of the story of o, but if you're into that genre, i recommend you 'the ages of lulu' by spanish author almudena grandes. that book is fantastic, the story itself is really beautiful and it's told in a very detailed and artsy way. it's like watching a porn directed by fellini. i remember reading somewhere that this book is not actually erotica but porn

you can read part of the book at amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0802133487)

i've been after it for a while!

it was probably the first successful erotic book written by a woman, probably because she prettended to be a man to prove the critics wrong. that only a man could write a trully erotic book.
