History on Lisa
 

So, how did Lisa and Damien get together? Did she do any music before Damien? Does she have an album or such out at all?

(I know she sings solo sometimes at concerts, and she sings Silent Night on O)

She had a scholarship for Art History in Trinity College Dublin, then she left it to sing. She doesn't have any music released, but she does have her own songs and a band called 'Daisy Okell Quartet'... to the best of my knowledge they have only ever played two shows.

Wasn't a scholership, she got entrance emaninations, schols in trinity are something different.

Actually I got the phrase wrong, it's actually entrance exhibitions. Guess who didn't get one so had no real need to know the right phrase.

You also get the option of an on campus room in first year. Basically Lisa was very smart and got a minimum of 545-550 points in her leaving.

As far as i know they were introduced by a friend in a café in Dublin. It's not the greatest story ever told.

i heard in an interview (not sure which) that they kept bumping into eachother over a period of time cause they had mutual friends or something, and that for a while he didn't even know she was a singer but when he heard she was a singer he knew she would be amazing.

I'll bet in real life she's an evil genius, perhaps she'll become Damien's arch nemisis and try to kill him with sharks with laser beams attached to their heads. But he'll escape by taking the sharks and himself too seriously, then they'll become confused and Lisa will have to retreat to her castle on The Cliffs of Insanity to plot her next evil scheme.

Let's petition emmett to change the pictures on the main page to ones with Damien in a rubber superhero suit, Lisa an an evil pose plotting Damien's destruction, Vyvienne in her 'sidekick to Damo' gear, Shane as the damsel in distress kidnapped by the evil Lisa, and Tomo offering pearls of sage-like wisdom to Damien in his eternal struggle to bring Lisa to justice.

This thread is violating the forum rules. no one can speak of damien and lisa's personal life. please respect them. Its a simple rule, jeez! obey the rules. blah blah blah...ITS NOT HARD TO UNDERSTAND, obey this rule or leave the forum, simple as that.

I think you mean either 'hint of sarcasm' or 'note the sarcasm'. Anyway i'm not sure that that rule is meant to exclude the kind of information that might appear in a one page wikipedia biography like where the band grew up or used to live, i think it's perhaps better suited to information of a more sensitive nature, y'know personal stuff like families, illnesses, relationships, phone numbers and stuff.

Lots of people are pretty sour about that whole debate there, it's best not to bring it up again, it just gets tangled up in these big ethical discussions and everyone gets very píssed off.

I was just thinking that I've never heard Lisa Hannigan speak...I've heard her sing of course, and heard Damien speak, but never her...strange. Anyone have any clips of her actually speaking?

She speaks at the end of "Willy"
and also there's some radio interviews of her somewhere, I'm sure.

Really! Because I have Willy and I've never heard her speak at the end of it....yes I'm sure their are some in the interviews on here and such, but none of them work still. :(
