I am (obviously) brand new to this web site/discussion board. My name is Jim. I'm 22 years old. I live in Portland, Maine. I've been listening to Damien for about a year now.In an industry that isbecoming more and more superfluous as timepasses, it's very refreshing to hearmusic withgenuine substance.The emotional depths that he plunges and the conflicts that he explores are so refreshing.


I actually have a question for everybody. April 19th Damien is coming to the State Theatre in Portland. I was wondering if there might be some people going who wouldn't mind a tagalong. I am literally the only person I know that enjoys Damien's music other than my mother...and there is no way I'm going with her. I also have a spare ticket if anyone is interested in that. Yeah, I've noticed that Damien's fan base is a lot stronger abroad than it is here in the states. Pretty frustrating. The venue he's playing in Maine has a maximum capacity of 2500. It was announced two months ago, went on sale a week later and they haven't even sold half the tickets yet. Pretty sad.
