I heard through the internet grapevine that Damo is playing in a marquee in Cork in the summer, does anyone know if this is true?

It wasnt an April Fools.... i heard it from someone on damiens own site that lives in Cork and he is a friend of one of the engineers that will be putting up the marquee.

so when would that happen??? anytime soon????

current gigs in the 2009 Cork Marquee run from 18 June to 10 July.
only free dates are June 24th & July 3rd, the latter the day before Lisa supporting Josh Ritter

Why wouldn't they announce Damien with the other acts.. It's not like he is a real big attraction compared to the likes of Boyzone, Prodigy or Kanye West. I think they're leaving it a bit late to expect to get 4,000 tickets sold if he does add a date.

Yeah, I too noticed that Lisa is supporting Josh Ritter at the Cork Marquee on July 4th. there's a bit about it on his website. Are you going, Dan?

Along with Aiken Promotions, we are delighted to announce that Lisa Hannigan has been confirmed as Josh's very Special Guest for Live at The Marquee in Cork on July 4th, in which Josh and the band will be performing with a full 24 piece orchestra.

Oxegen is from the 9th to 12th July.

Chickenfoot is the title for the supergroup featuring vocalist Sammy Hagar (ex-Van Halen, & Montrose), bassist Michael "Mikey" Anthony (also ex-Van Halen), guitarist Joe Satriani and drummer Chad Smith (of the Red Hot Chili Peppers).[1] Chickenfoot are currently in the studio, working on a record that is set to be released on June 5th, 2009 in Europe, and June 7th in the United States

so far its all just rumours on here. It is getting a but close to the free dates available. Don't be losing sleep over it.
