Radiohead/Damien merge (also posted in Everything Else Section)
I also posted this in Everything Else, but incase some musicians don't read there:
I made something today, and filmed it as I thought eskimos may like it. Well, you will if you're a fan of Damien and Radiohead. (Which I'm sure most of you are!) Excuse the reverb, I couldn't turn it off, also excuse dodgy guitar playing in places, messed up words, and nasal sounding vocals towards the end!! The guitar is the wondergutiar mentioned a few weeks ago - though it must be said the reverb means you can't really hear what it's like, and it suits more palm muted strummy stuff more. Hope you like! :) Let me know what your honest thoughts are. x |
2 of my favourite songs in one place... what's not to like!? :smiley20:
You have a really nice voice. |
thankye :)

|
Yeah that was great well done :)
|

thankyou guys, appreciated x |
you do have a beautiful voice, that was amazing! they went together so well, great choice to 2 wondeful songs to put together.
|
really beautiful. You fitted them together like a dream! Or a patchwork quilt.
|
chills man...chills!
not a guitarist myself, but that sounded pretty good to me. vocals spinetingling as always. can't believe you mixed those two songs together so well! |

Had a sober listen (!) - you're very very talented. Think Mr Rice would approve!
|
I'm going to be different and say i like your toe..... haha, just had to mention that.
Yup, it was a fantastic merge, like i said on your myspace. |
Nice one Nine.
|
Awe..
I have to admit I was really skeptical about hearing someone sing Damien Rice's song besides the man himself. I tend to roll my eyes at this sort of thing.. :P But your voice was so beautiful, I couldn't help but get off my high horse and applaud you! Your sound is haunting... great job!

Nine! That was truly beautiful! Two of my favorite songs too - you interleaved them so well and your voice sounded amazing. I think it is a really cool idea, and so well executed.
Benjamin :) PS - what are your thoughts on me trying your arrangement? |
i cant see it because of my connection. and im confused why the names of either of the songs havent been even mentioned....
|
No surprises and the Blower's Daughter. Hope your connection is better soon! :)
|
Thanks Ben! Glad you liked it, absolutely feel free to cover the arrangement, I don't mind at all! But if you record it or play it live or whatever I'd appreciate a mention! :D
Tim, sorry you can't see it :( I didn't mention the names just cos the two songs are ones that I feel need no introduction! Though I didn't think about the poor folks such as yourself with dial-up! But now you know :D xx |
This is absolutely fantastic Nine. I haven't checked in here for a while now, but I'm glad to see you're still posting your stuff. I absolutely adore it!

Very, very nice combination. You have real talent, a hauntingly beautiful voice. Only thing I would say is that you couldn't sell your type of voice on the current music scene which is sad.
|
i take it you will be on this eskimo album... im pretty sure your gonna steal the show on it nine.
|
i do intend to put a track on it yeah rob... i dunno what to say, but thanks! I can't find a suitable blushing smiley!
Seriously though guys I really appreciate all your kind comments. Thanks ever so much, it makes it all worthwhile. x |
