Franchise 05-20-2004 05:11 PM

Louise 05-20-2004 05:20 PM

Feel sorry for all you guys not going, hope it's not too difficult to get tickets.

But I am getting a few tickets for my mates, some of which might not be able to go, cause it's such short notice.

so ifsome of em cannot go,I will sell any spare ticket(s) to anymember on this site, and it wont be a cent over the face value of the ticket either

Wheels 05-20-2004 05:59 PM

I saw Damien and gang there in December and I thought it was a good venue.

Franchise 05-20-2004 06:22 PM

that concert in december was amazing and what a long set....

Wheels 05-20-2004 06:25 PM

And don't forget the audience full of beautiful women!

ali* 05-20-2004 07:02 PM

Have never been to Vicar St, is it not a good venue?

The venue is grand but when i was there the audience was terrible, pretty ignorant. Then i saw him in Galway 2 days later and the gig was just so much better.Cant go n e way just realised i start back to work that day ah well!

daol20 05-20-2004 07:20 PM

Great venue, but yeah there was a minority in theaudience, at the last one, thatwere so ignorant. I really hope they're not at this one, although i see no reason why they wont be out in force.

Hope i can get tickets. I've an exam on saturday at 12:30 so i'll be relying on someone else getting them. Not good. Not good at all!

Donsie B! 05-20-2004 07:21 PM

can under 18s go?

daol20 05-20-2004 07:24 PM

I would assume not. But that doesnt mean you wont get in. It never seems too strict. So it may be worth a shot, if your not too young that is.

Donsie B! 05-20-2004 07:43 PM

bt if i by a tick and dont get in a waste of money yeh?

Michelle Joey 05-20-2004 08:13 PM

You'll get in no prob. My sisand her friend did, both 17 They were backed up with fake IDs and the bouncers didn't even give them a second look. GO FOR IT

WeeAngel 05-20-2004 08:24 PM

I'm soooo going who cares if i've got a biology exam the next morning!!!

Well im 19 and i got asked for id there a few months back, i dont look underage so i taut they were pretty strict, so tbh, donsie b i doubt ud get in, particularly if u look young.. butcha could try ne-way.

WOO-HOO cant wait for this, couldn't get a ticket for the last 2. U think there gonna do the same thing n sell them earlier than they say??

#Ian# 05-20-2004 09:14 PM

This is amazingly sh*t timing for me. Lucas are playing Eamonn Doran's the same night.

Its sh*t timing for them too as people that saw them open for Damien in december will probably go to see Damien again.

Hmm, Ive got O, mp3s, bootlegs and singles of Damien and a single Lucas EP. I think I can live with missing Damien this one time (twice counting hte Bush gig that I'll miss as well but you know what I mean).

guilder 05-20-2004 09:15 PM

Can someone from Ireland give me a description of what it's like to hear a performance at Vicar Street? I've logged onto their website and read about it - but I would appreciate the enthusiasm of your wonderful Irish adjectives!

#Ian# 05-20-2004 09:39 PM

good

Catch-22 05-20-2004 09:43 PM

very good!

ali* 05-20-2004 09:56 PM

the irish people love their adjectives.....

Franchise 05-20-2004 10:29 PM

seeing as you guys seem to be in the know what do u reckon is the best way to get 2tickets. book onticketmaster.ie or to go to town and wait at the sound cellar till 12.......?

Because i missed out the last time...! and if it happens again il cry coz im skipping an exam for this...! Edited by: Franchise

Man, the gig's the same night that Incubus are playing in the point! For most other acts, id cancel and get a ticket for damien, but iv seen damien before, and iv never seen the mighty incubus, who are one of my favourite bands. Im keeping my fingers, knees and ttoes crossed for oxegen.

I will say this though........i hope there's no w**kers at the vicar st show like last time...........no hen partys or any other undesirables!

To any eskimos going.........enjoy!!

dont think ill bother getting a ticket... been dissapointed too many times with his gigs recently and i hate vicar street with a passion... who wants to stand in a giant rectangle with a sore neck from trying to look over the tallest person in the crowd..

sorry im very bitter
