I am so glad that new Damo US tour dates have been announced! I think I am going to see two of his shows. I'll see the show at home, in Boise on April 3rd.. Than fly back to see my family in Minneapolis in time to see him on April 6th! Anyone else planning out to see the shows recently announced?

I am so excited, I let out a squeel of glee when I saw the new dates. I haven't had the privelage of being able to see Damo live, but I am sure those of you that have, have many good things to say. Yay!

Krystian 12-21-2003 11:27 PM

::sigh:: he still hasnt decided to venture back into atlanta yet

awww http://www.freecfm.com/d/damien/foru...ys/smiley6.gifwhere are you at in the states?

gemm 12-22-2003 12:32 AM

Yea, there was no way I thought Damo would come to Boise...It is a small city compared to other state capitols, heh.

If you really love Damien, you would drive/fly those 5 hours! I would if he weren't going to be in my two home towns. Save up your spare change, and anyone else's, and you might be able to get a bus ticket by the date of the show. That is the only suggestion I have if you are tight on cash as I am at the moment. Seeing Damo is probably worth riding 5 hours with those strange people on the bus!

Krystian 12-22-2003 12:36 AM

ahh, i need to take a look at the dates and see when i can make a road trip

Krystian 12-22-2003 12:43 AM

the closest gig to me is in Kansas...hmm...I might could find my way there

gemm 12-22-2003 12:54 AM

I'm sure you could Krystian. Make it a buddy trip! Everyone needs a good road trip every now-and-than. I've never been to Kansas before. What state do you live in at the moment?

Seriously, save up your spare change whenever you can, you will barely notice how much you can save until you count it all up! I think I have $10 in pennies, nickles, and dimes...And that is after only a couple weeks. My parents never taught us how to save as children, thank goodness I don't have a credit card...

gemm 12-22-2003 12:58 AM

Darnit, just as I typed that... I saw that someone in my houshold took 3 dollar bills out of my cash bowl! In "Amy-land" that is a lot of money... Now who should we blame, the mom, or the brother?

Krystian 12-22-2003 12:59 AM

haha gemm, i live in Georgia, sad thing is it wouldn't really be much of a buddy trip, ::sniffles:: most of my friends aren't into damo, even though i have diligently tried to spread the "word"

gemm 12-22-2003 01:43 AM

How awful! Well, than you should buy a heck of a lot of mountain dew to keep you awake on that drive than!

I have been to Georgia, just in the Atlanta airport thought... It was our stop from Minneapolis to London years ago.

I hope you can pull it all together by than, and maybe get one of your buddies hooked to come with you!

Krystian 12-22-2003 01:47 AM

i hope so too, ahh the hartsfeild-jackson airport ( so stupid that they went and renamed the stupid thing, makes no sense)

GlttrGrrl 12-22-2003 08:20 AM

On damienrice.com it says that more tour dates will be announced soon. We know that there will be some Irish gigs in February, and I expect that there will be a second leg of the US tour, hitting more cities, so DON'T LOSE HOPE :) He might be coming closer to you than you think.

gemm 12-22-2003 05:26 PM

Someday we'll all be able to see Damo live. And what a wonderful day that will be! *tear*

the professor 12-22-2003 06:20 PM

i hope i'll be able to see damo in Minneapolis on april 6th too. last time he came here i couldnt get in because of the 21+ age limit!

and i think...the mother stole the money from the amyjarEdited by: Krystian

gemm 12-22-2003 11:17 PM

Actually, it was my mom! So now she owes me $22...Good thing I will be moving away from home in 27 days, no more of this crap...I am not made of money!!!

Yea, Damo was at the fine line last time he was in the twin cities...I think that they are always 21+. But the pantages theater is more of a playhouse, so I doubt there will be an age limit, since there is no bar in the theater (if my memory serves.) Do you live in the cities Prof? (I'm a born and raised Edina girl until Jan 18th.)

Yea, it's too bad that Damo spelled my name wrong when he wrote "Amie."...

Oh, and Merry Christmas Eve-eve to everyone...And a happy Hannukah to you lovable Jews!

Krystian 12-23-2003 12:08 AM

haha merry christmas eve-eve to youamy

Illusions 12-23-2003 11:52 AM

i am really excited about his us tour because besides the fact that damien is coming to boston, he is also going to my home state...vermont, which is amazing because it is so small!! only 500,000 people in the whole state.

Cannonball 12-23-2003 12:13 PM

Me too.Im going to his gig in Minneapolis

Krystian 12-23-2003 12:18 PM

but no Atlanta stops at all, hmm :: wonders how long it will take to drive to kansas::

Illusions 12-23-2003 12:29 PM

i cant wait!! april can't come soon enough

gemm 12-23-2003 02:38 PM

So how many people are going to see him in Minneapolis than?... We could all yell out eachother's sn, and wait for a response (heh). Oh my goodness, I am excited already! Krystian...You should come to Minneapolis than, cause it looks like there will be quite a few of us there!

**Mua-Hahahaha** I still get to see him twice! (that is if the venue in Boise is not 21+, and I don't have a fake ID at that time...)

Krystian 12-23-2003 03:15 PM

hmm, i just might amy, unfortunetly it all depends on school , I keep telling myself only one more semester left!

Cannonball 12-23-2003 03:16 PM

As for people going to the mineapolis gig so far I know is Im going and the professor is going too.

Green Fairy 12-23-2003 08:59 PM

Ahh, pity the young Floridian. Too young to drive/fly off by myself. I'm just 15, but i'd give anything to experience a DR concert... All the concert sites are over fifteen hours away and i'm tired of only reading reviews of his gigs. The parents dig him too, but they don't have that passion that would drive them to take their poor little kid to the concert.

gemm 12-23-2003 11:20 PM

Well as I said earlier...Someday we will all have the chance to see Damo live, and a wonderful day that will be! But the mp3 page is back up with all the live stuff, that should hold you over for at least a little while.

Being fifteen stunk for me, but I promise it gets better...eventually...I think.

Hey, at least there will be three of us to see Damo at the Pantages! Maybe Krystian will come up to visit us too :).You will be just fine Green Fairy... Just don't cry too hard, Damo wouldn't want to see you sad (or would he?)!

hopefully im keeping my fingers crossed ::crosses fingers::

Patricia 12-24-2003 03:00 AM

For all those who are not happy with the tour dates: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

I understand, in France there are only a few dates planned, and none close to where I live... I'll go to Paris then!!

But it's not the same as seeing an artist you love in a concert place you know already know and like, is it?

For instance there's this great place in Nantes, called Olympic - it's quite small and intimate, and I saw Tom McRae twice, Stereophonics, and Archive there...
Why doesn't he come here?

gemm 12-25-2003 12:26 AM

Maybe you should tell Santie Claus that is what you want next year!

But you know, he can't possibly visit every city in just one tour! It would exshaust the man, and we would not want that. Sure, we all want to see him with everything we've got...but it just isn't possible, unfortunately. So if he isn't coming close to any of you, just hold out for the next one, and hopefully he will come... Oh, that reminded me of a Kevin Costner movie quote, "build it, and they will come..."

So I guess I shouldn't rub it in too much that I get to see him twice in one week...

Oh man, there is a really bad "clamation" movie on right now...the wise men are traveling towards the star of Bethlehem... Old skool clamation is where it is at!

...I am so random...
