Lisa Haney sounds like a 4th grade math teacher from Minnesota.

I sometimes kind of wish I'm korean. I love the country, it's language, music and Damien's perfomances in Korea are always ones of his bests :D

borneoman 11-08-2015 08:00 AM

really? he plays in massive stadiums, aka the opposite of intimate gigs, with everybody singing and screaming... last place I'd go for a gig personally

damien lisa 11-08-2015 10:59 AM

ireland n italy are his best. N talk abt the language, music, i like french

i wish he go to some strange land, like russia, israel, south africa, greenland, cuba, mongolia...

borneoman 11-08-2015 12:33 PM

Ireland? another place which is a no no no for gigs, everybody is drunk and only there to get wasted instead of listening to Damo, i.e. Cork
Italian shows are nice for the now-famous-aftershows but the shows per se are ok-ish, mostly he plays greatest hits

I'd say best places are New York, Iceland, and yes maybe Italy for the aftershows

Not sure abt 2014, but from the 2012 and 2013 videos on youtube I'd say the audience was pretty quiet during the intimate moments.

I must admit I didn't follow Damien's music much before, but it was the videos from these Korean gigs brought me back to his music, n especially to his live footage. He sounded incredibly as he played with so much energy for the powerful songs, and full of emotion in the more intimate songs.

Check out The Greatest Bastard under the rain in Korean 2013 gig. One of the best versions of this song for me :)

damien lisa 11-08-2015 04:31 PM

his live songs on my pc, mostly from usa http://2.pik.vn/20154019709b-f0da-44...b4a2af90f5.png

cork had 1 bad show. Back in cork 2002 was great

american fan has too much enthusiasm lately. They shouted "i love u damien" too many times

abt those time 2012-2013, it's because of his mood that time, not place

I miss 2012-2013 damien! He was so much more adventurous and free :)
Prolly 'cause he did less shows then.

As for his best gigs? It depends more on the venue than the country, I guess, but he tends to be in a better mood when he's in a place where there's a lot of sunshine. (and a respectful audience) So I'd say Switzerland :) Or Iceland in summer.

verenita 11-09-2015 09:38 AM

i feel somehow strange commenting on a such subjetive topic, because, of course, this is only my opinion... but iīd say every place is meant to be the best place if itīs oneīs only chance to see him live, because that is quite an experience.

many of EF (i can include myself, i suppose, as i was lucky enough to see him live a number of times) had the chance to see him live several times in different venues/cities/countries and of course thanks to youtube and recordings we get the vibe from different places, then we can compare... but i canīt really see the point.

anyway, i think thereīs also the cultural factor, which can be noted by the "common behaviour" of the audience. is kind of the same thing applied to meeting people or introduction. generally speaking, in south america, we kiss on the cheek even if itīs for the first time (and in argentina, even men kiss each other on the cheek), whereas in many countries in europe they shake hands and in korea, for instance, male bow if you are a female and female do if you are an older female to show respect. we are our culture, among many other things...

anyway... enough of the non sense, sorry.

oh yes... althought there were drunk and noisy peple in cork, that gig was close to perfect and the fact that damien looked like he didnīt want to leave the room and he threw a kiss to the audience proves it, at leat to me... galway was totally in different story, wich was covered already.

back to the topic... so good we still have more of him live before the year ends :D

damien lisa 11-09-2015 03:16 PM

around 17:10, why was it a good question "...8 years, what take u so long" when it's been asked 1711 times. N his answer wasn't new
22:25 seem like he supposed to play other song but then they said 9 crimes

So, Jeff was on stage for Cheers Darlin'. Random question, did he ever play with Damien? I could've sworn I saw a video somewhere and it looked like he was on keyboard.

verenita 11-27-2015 11:12 AM
