audience singing a lot!

borneoman 04-11-2015 04:31 AM

Delicate
Cannonball
It takes a lot to know a man

I Remember

I donīt want to change you (on electric guitar)
The greatest bastard
The blowerīs daughter
Volcano
Long Long Way

no Cold Water bit tonight. Loved the opening MFFF on electric guitar... IDWTCY was also on electric guitar, nice talk before that, think he said itīs the love song heīs written, like a true love song...

InspirationDestination 04-11-2015 04:36 AM

Camarillas!! Next rare request- Non-falsetto Orchard!! To paraphrase, you give us miles and miles of mountains and some of us will ask for the sea (passively on a message board)!!

borneoman 04-11-2015 04:39 AM

Camarillas!!!!!!

InspirationDestination 04-11-2015 04:40 AM

Thanks for sharing, as usual. Please share stories, videos, etc!! Think I saw on facebook that there was no galagalactic. Are they not joining him at all?

InspirationDestination 04-11-2015 04:40 AM

You are the greatest, Marti!! Quite lovely, no quiet seething at all!

borneoman 04-11-2015 04:53 AM

Mia Maestro opened with Joel on guitar, not crazy about the songs... she did not duet with Damien (as I expected)

Damo was chatty, well, not much at the start but became more chatty as the gig progressed... he told some stories in French, before T&T... also a long rant about being in love and making lists of what the loved one can/cannot do... he said he eventually ended up being in love with one person (he didnīt say names but itīs obvious who heīs talking about) and he wrote IDWTCY, which is his only love song...

never seen an audience singing so much, from the very start, Delicate, even the newies,... after Volcano Damien said something like, I didnīt wanna do this (the singing part with the audience divided in 3 groups), but if you wanna sing, letīs ****ing sing

borneoman 04-11-2015 05:15 AM

he forgot again the lyrics of Colour Me In... same as usual... but was beautiful

Bastard was amazing tonight!!

borneoman 04-11-2015 05:33 AM

We went on line pretty early so we were front row... I was actually in front of the harmonium as you can see...
Trusty & True

Long Long Way

InspirationDestination 04-11-2015 05:35 AM

I would've lost my mind with all the singing!!

I wonder what percentage of fans are new because I'm finding it hard to be at multiple shows with a standard setlist (the Grateful Dead supposedly varied theirs for the Deadheads). How has the setlist experience been for you and cuulium, given you've gone to so many shows and have several ahead of you?

I have to say I've been liking the harder ones more in the larger venues even though I have always been drawn to the softer ones at home. I find the noise he can make with himself, an acoustic guitar and pedals astounding!!

I love italtkam live because sharing his vulnerabilities of his Byron Katie "Work" is so generous. He messed up the honeybee/sting line in philly. Of course, I didn't mind at all.

Long Long Way

How early did you have to line up to get front row?

Was indeed a good bastard but I still think the best is when we get the original line.

Am almost 95% convinced now that forgetting "I tried to forget it, it was all part of the show" is illustration and mind-f***ing the audience. Not a great line, but compelling because he forgets it as part of the show.

madhat181 04-11-2015 05:51 AM

Marti you are the greatest! Can you go and document all the concerts?

DesoleInBoston 04-11-2015 06:04 AM

Fabulous, Marti and Stefan and all the Montreal folks. Thank you for making this huge world seem so delicately, perfectly small. And thanks for asking for Camerillas! Safe travels.

He really has been since I started lurking in 2002/2003. Most of the rarities in my collection are from him and another fella from here. He should get a prize for MVE (Most Valuable Eskimo). For now, I have the satisfaction of buying him a drink.

eva_arg 04-11-2015 11:05 AM

marti... :icon_pray

borneoman 04-11-2015 12:25 PM

shut up people :D :D :D :p :p :p

InspirationDestination 04-11-2015 01:20 PM

:smiley36: so modest...I hope Damien or his people see this so maybe you can get a lift to a venue (perhaps even in that special windowless, airless equipment carrier) so you don't have to spend extra hours (and $) on public transportation.

melodie 04-11-2015 01:42 PM

thank you so much marti!

damien came out about an hour after the end of the show. stories and full recording coming!
