I'm not sure, Jeweller, it seems that in Ireland you're gonna have some nice Swedish dancers...

Or maybe I understood it wrong? I think Josh Ritter will be supporting the European (=continent) tour. (which includes France, hehe!)

what are we to expect from josh ritter ? on the index of his page, he's sitting with a slide guitar. does he play lots of slide ?

Angela 01-13-2004 09:59 AM

Ralph, he's just putting on a new string on his acoustic guitar in that picture. He's a folk musician. He has a band, too, though I don't know if he'll take the band to Europe.

There are audio clips on his music page and at amazon.com .

I'd say he's strongly influenced by Bob Dylan, Nick Drake and Towns Van Zandt, but not the fragile type of folk singer. Quite energetic.

Illusions 01-15-2004 07:22 PM

josh ritter is really good, i wish he was supporting in the states as well, i think thatwould be my ideal show to see as of now. I had a taste of it in september. I saw josh ritter then damien rice on back to back nights!! Friday and Saturday...what a weekend!! and they were playing at the same venue so when josh played damien was in the audience watchin (he was secretive but i saw him on my way to the bathroom hahaha) and he gave some "shout outs" to him without giving him away. And the best part was that the venue was so small (few hundred) that i hung around and got to talk with both of them after the shows!!

Bumpman 01-15-2004 07:54 PM

you're lucky, i'd give a toe to meet damien just once... so who's supporting in vicar street?
