He's against Justin T, Bob Dylan, Beck and Jack Johnson... I think Justin will win but we can always hope...

This year, for the first time in like 18 years, you can watch the Brits live on TV!!!!!!!! I think Radio 1 is also gonna transmit the whole thing... They're already doing the red carpet/backstage thing... In fact they talked about Damien a few minutes ago, mentioned he's up for best Int singer, and they played Rootless Tree, the censored version of course!!!

Excuse my ignorance... but who votes for the Brits?

i think it's the general public that can vote in the lead up to the brits, but i may be wrong, and it might be a panel of judges... unsure.

yeah, they're in australia now... i can't imagine them being very big fans of award shows... but hope he wins anyway! :)

its industry types that decide who winds what, so they'l want to suck up to justin, again, by giving him the award, as it will make the event seem cooler with him getting the acclaim and being in the papers after, etc. sad but true.

I think that the general public can only vote for a couple of things like Best UK Newcomer, they did a special last week in the Jo Willey program... The rest is voted by a bunch of record company executives, and of course it's all economic interests, nothing to do with music quality...

Justin will win by a mile (not that we know the actual vote-tallys)

Orson winning Best Int Newcomer was the biggest joke. They should have won Best One-Hit Wonders of the Year instead...

same here - she's SO annoying! She never stops frickin' laughing! I find my self asking everytime I see her: 'why are you laughing woman, WHY!'

I think Nelly Furtado is ok, but I've never heard an interview of hers so don't know about her laughing. I liked her 2nd album Folklore a lot but her latest Loose is really disapointing, some songs are ok but then there's a lot of 3rd class urban crap

Blame Timbaland eh? Well that I can do. It's much easier than blaming all of canada, at least.

(I think the last album did better in the states anyways. yep. wikipedia's confirmed it... she sold about 4-5times more of it in the states/europe)
