Looking for a way to pack the new record I found this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vxnC...source=message

It's cheap, I can do it using recycled paper and I can print cover/songlist on it. Hoorrayyy!!!

Yesterday I played a gig and it went really well, despite having a pretty foul cold. Now I'm EXHAUSTED.

verenita 02-18-2012 09:20 PM

wow, cille. i am so happy for you! you don´t compliment yourself so much, so i am glad you felt everything went well :) now, just keep going... but have some rest first ;)

ceren... definitely, that is not a book that i would buy myself (i don´t cook, hehe), but congrats on your purchase :)

as for me... i got a student to teach outside the shcool. i met him the other day and he will take 4 hours per week! i am so excited about it. also, i´m putting some stuff together to do something good regarding Spanish teaching (fingers crossed!).

Oh, great! It feels nice to be able to help people with your profession, I was giving cooking lessons to ex-bestie-who we do not talk anymore due to.. him being a reckless jerk- anyway sorry, not the point, what I'm saying is I truly miss those days.

Canadian Island 03-01-2012 03:07 PM

Yesterday I've returned from a one-week trip to record with a singer I met last year when we hitchhiked together for two days. I'll visit her again after the weekend to take almost all of march to record the album at her place, a place that has no furniture, no fridge, no tv, no internet, no clocks on walls but lots of blankets and pillows and big windows and there's always soup ready in the kitchen. To live like cavemen and conjure ghosts, what a life, haha! :D (I've got secret links to fresh recordings. If anyone's interested, send a message! I'll be a bit hidy till we're done in a few weeks.)

cille 03-01-2012 03:10 PM

^That sounds absolutely amazing!

Canadian Island 03-01-2012 03:18 PM

Yeah, it is! =) Absolutely!

yesterday we made the cover for the new record. a few months ago there was a song called "shelves" that i wrote on my return from the autumnal roads to my winter camp near berlin. it had the word "shelter" in it and it somehow drew the line for the record. it was also then when I met Anika who's now singing and making the record with me. so... when we started recording a few weeks ago i had a plan for the record, knowing what I wanted it to be like. but as it often goes, the last days were about letting go and opening up. now it's sleepless nights to catch spirits and ghosts. to find shelter.
