I know, i thought the same thing when i read it. Those kind of articles really infuriate me, comparing acts and styles of music is so far removed from the ideas that make music good. I wish there were more writers out there who embraced the idea that each person makes different kinds of music, and that trying to break music down so it can be spoonfed through magazines is a total waste of time.

People like him shouldn't be allowed near pencils or pens. What a wanker.

my thoughts exatly, bumpman. i friggen hate it when people do that. or the whole "david gray meets so-and-so and was raised by so-and-so" arrgh. makes me angry.

I agree, i believe that there is very little comparison between David Gray (DG) and Damo. I think that the other saw that as DG and Damo took the same paths in recording their albums and getting them out to the public, but, musically speaking, i find it very difficult to compare the two.
