I Want MOoooooooore!!!!!
|
Argh, Albert Hammond Jr. be gone, we want Damien back!
|
I think the host said something about the music making lovers at the studio romantic or something.
No wonder the applause sound a bit scrawny, since there were only like 50 people (lucky myse cheeses!) |
This is weird... if you've ever been at a gig and the band you love goes on before a band you never heard before... you're on a high from the set you went to see... and the other band comes on after the band you love and you just don't pay attention. it's all background music to you then... that's exactly the feeling i got when the dj played that song after the session

I think I've found the repeat link:
http://www.nrk.no/programmer/radio/musikkmisjonen/ Click on: 06.11 (18:03 - 20:00) I think it's from the start of the show, but there's other artists on before the Damien show. Fingers crossed, I'm still waiting to see if it comes up as I can hear the presenter mention Damien. |
That's it alright. Go in about quarter way, just over the stop button (slightly left of it's centre) and there he is!

and he definitely wasn't out of shape! i can feel my fingertips hurt, though, when i think of it... i think i have to plan a trip to oslo in march... :icon_pray |
Started with 'Elephant'
|
'Du får P3 Sessions m irske Damien Rice. Vår anmelder mener om nettopp ham og The Game sin nye plate.'
does that mean i have to be signed in to be able to listen to it again?... i'm confused. it worked for the live-streaming... and now? :crybaby2: |
Where does it say that? I was listening to the recorded stream... though it has just stopped... hopefully just to build up the cache... though it's been a while...
|
Well I switched to the lower quality 16kbps stream and it's going again... it's the single '+' by bandbredde on the bottom right.
|
The 06.11 link didn't work for me too at first. Just hold "shift" all the while you're clicking the link, should do the trick.
|
Maybe you can download this stream, i'm trying now.
mms://straumr.nrk.no/nrk_radio_p3_h If it works, i'll convert to mp3 and upload it, but it's downloading slowly so it might take some time. |
"So eh, I've just come from London, where we were making a video for this song. And I was playing, in the video I playing the role of a person who lived on the street and.... ahm...eh... and so the night before the video I decided I'd, I'd stay up all night, just to get no sleep, so that I looked like **** and... I, I did that for eh, the, pretty much the three nights of shooting the video. And eh, and I arrived here today *laughs* feeling like ****, erhm I did have a shower... erhm... and that's why my hair looks all fuzzy. But, erhm, my throat's not feeling the best so, erhm, *cough* so there you have it *laugh* But erhm this is the song that we were just making the video for it's called '9 Crimes'. Lisa usually sings on it, but eh, she's taking a holiday *chuckle*... [piano plays]"

"So this eh, this is a song that erhm, eh I don't, I don't know, whenever I'm happy I, I rarely sit down an, and write a song. Erhm, it's usually, eh, when somebody's, when somebody does something that, that irritates me. Erhm, it's like eh, eating bad food you know? You wanna puke it back up or whatever and, erhm and usually that's the way songs come out; something comes in at me and, and then I, I just need to get rid of it. Erhm, this particular song wa, was erhm, was, was written just right at a moment where I'd been in a situation that wasn't great and I was on my way into a really, really good situation and I kinda wrote the song, just when you pass 12 O'Clock and you're *laugh* you're on the eh, the other side. So, eh, it's actually quite positive, believe it or not *laugh* ehm [Coconut Skins]"

Thanks - this worked for me :D and if this is his voice after a night or two of not sleeping, then maybe he should think of it more often ;) - he sounds fantastic, the studio must have great acoustics |
