Xmas busk 2013
So, apparently he was there this year...
http://www.orderinthesound.com/glen-...stmas-eve-busk (lots of videos here) Now let's speculate why he's back in Dublin and when the new album will be finished/released ;) http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/...01_634x421.jpg http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/...31_634x423.jpg |
Looks like Liam doesn't Damien in that last shot.

yay :hello2: i´m glad he took part of it again and i´m very happy for those who were able to enjoy it! i can guarantee it´s an amazing atmosphere!
thanks carrroline for sharing :) |
You're welcome!
I hope one day I'll be able to go there. That's the kind of christmas spirit I'm okay with. I'm just wondering if he borrowed someone else's jacket… can't imagine another reason why he would be wearing (fake?) fur on his collar :) |

He sang only one song? |
No, at least two :)
And this one is more surprising than volcano. Made me smile this morning. (Not the song, but Damien singing that song, obviously) Edit: The video seems to be unvisible? So here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuxATMc8wYk |

I love the Christmas busk, I think Dublin at Christmastime would be magical. dawno posted this on her Facebook, there's a glimpse of Damo in there |
Yeah, I know what a parka is... It just seemed unlike him to be wearing one. :)
I feel silly posting about that again, the first remark was already beside the point. Thanks for the video. I'm playing 'where's Damien' while watching the youtube footage of the other guys busking... Spotted him a few times in this one, on the left side, just glimpses of his face, disappearing into the audience. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZYIb6sG268 Look to the left at 2m04s and 2m09s :D |
Don't worry at all, carrroline! When I saw the video my first thought too was about the parka, it's too mainstream for him maybe ahah? Anyway now that I know that it was invented by Eskimos, I understand :))
my second thought was: the way he sings green fields of France is pure amazing. if only there would be a clearer version of it somewhere. |

thanks for the video melissa and dawno! ps: parka... lol, for us, parca (different spelling) means "death". |
Did Gavin Glass plan his bathroom breaks specifically during Damien's songs?
:smiley2: |

Thanks for the video's!
I was lucky to be there again and so freaking lucky to stand next to Damien by the tree (SisterMidnight's video). This time I didn't felt the need to talk to him, last time was awkward enough :) It felt good just standing next to him and let him be. This year he looked more comfortable and relax though, but didn't want any pictures taken. Two years ago he said he didn't mind "a good picture" when people asked. Also, he didn't bring his own guitar with him and didn't want to come back on stage to sing and play when they asked him to. He stayed in the back, with some friends, smoking borrowed cigarretes, hugging a few fans and jumping up and down to stay warm (it was so cold!!). The comments about his jacket made me laugh, I thought the same thing when I saw it! |

Lucky girl :)
Good to hear that he seemed relaxed. So, he only played volcano and no one's land? (I'm so grateful to whoever made that video) I bet it's an Icelandic jacket. (And that's really the last thing I'll say about that ;) ) The picture is taken from Escuchando Elefantes' facebook page. |
CoffeeJunke, what a luck! I can imagine how happy you were! Now you left me curious about your previous meeting, why was it so awkward??

Poor Damo. No room in Bono's car. Who was the brunette he was with. My heart skipped a beat at first when I thought it was Lisa.
|
Tsss... travelling on a private jet...
That Bono is a bad influence ;) |
