Very cool but I think that date is wrong. Ticketmaster and a couple of other places have the matinee as being at 4pm on the 25th, same day as the regular show.

Claude 01-16-2019 07:07 PM

Yes, you're right,
but i don't know exactly, is it the 25 or the 26 january...?
In the Mail i received it's written 26,
but may be it's an error !

Claude 01-16-2019 07:18 PM

On the Bowery Presents page, it's on the 25 january !

commonsense 01-17-2019 01:13 PM

So... are we assuming its the 25th? This is so sloppy.

Claude 01-17-2019 03:11 PM

Yes, i think it's really the 25th !
The same day as the show in the evening !

mario_d 01-17-2019 05:59 PM

This is par for the course for Damien US ticket releases, to be honest. Anyone else remember when they use to screw up the on sale times every tour?

There are still seats available. I just got Orchestra G. It's been almost ten years since I did two Damien shows in a day, but this should really be something weird.

commonsense 01-17-2019 06:47 PM

I would have gone on the 26th. Can't do the 25th. Mostly I'm just pissed they gave me hope then snatched it away. Oh well.

mario_d 01-17-2019 06:55 PM

And now they sent a new email clarifying it will be the 25th.

BUUUUUTTTTTTTTT

The time is now in conflict.

Ticketmaster says its a 4pm show. The new email says 3:30pm.

wmacson 01-17-2019 07:16 PM

I believe it's 3:30 doors, 4:00pm show. That's what the original email said and ticketmaster says.

mario_d 01-17-2019 07:38 PM

The original email I got just said "matinee" ?

wmacson 01-17-2019 08:45 PM

Sorry, should have been more clear. The original email I got from Bowery Presents said 3:30 doors, 4pm show. I got the same DR email you got.

mario_d 01-17-2019 09:54 PM

Makes sense. Cool.

Claude 01-21-2019 08:03 PM

Just in case,
i'm looking for a ticket for the evening show ?
Thanks.

Very curious to see who / if there will be a support act. Looking forward to both shows on Friday - had seriously considered Boston, but it just didn't work out.

See some of you on Friday!

Claude 01-24-2019 12:44 AM

I was thinking about a girl, like Gyda or Mariam for the opener,
but like in Boston he will probably be alone !

May be we can see some Eskimos...?

I went with you for both of those shows, right?

Truth.

mario_d 01-25-2019 10:25 PM

This are going predictably weird at the Q & A matinee

01 Trusty and true
02 Delicate

"the new songs are about friendship instead of romantic relationships... instead of asking for something from someone its about letting them know 'hey I'm here'
03 Astronaut
"we finished a record two weeks ago"
04 100 miles
05 Rootless Tree

Question about guitars, the guitar has four outputs, older guitars sound better but I don't know why, people have explained it to me and I forget
06 Stone
07 The Professor -> La Fille Danse

Q2.... Sailing adventures. Songwriting is a toilet for me... I smear my emotional crap on other people... Delicate just pops out in no time at all...
Q3 if you could only play one of your songs for the rest of your life, which would you choose? The last song I've written
08 DM A improv, Blue (one verse)
09 Elephant

Q4 what's the biggest change in your life in ten years? I used to think romance is the key to love.... Saving my virginity for my true love... Then I realized the version of love I had in my head had been fed to me by movie and songs.... This perfect notion I had is the opposite of what true lov ewas... How to be great with someone else being everything they are instead of trying to mold them into this perfect notion of what true love is
10 The greatest Bastard
Q5 influence from a generation older than you and who's making most honest music younger than you....... Prince, but I don't like the word influence.. More like inspired, why I picked up guitar... Soon after Leonard Cohen... He became a mountaintop to look to... Biggest influence on music is people I meet, the generosity and connections I have with meeting another living creature
11 When Doves Cry - - >
12 Famous Blue Raincoat

mario_d 01-26-2019 03:33 AM

Evening Show, several songs I didn't know

01 Older chests
02 Amie (no jam) - >
03 Eskimo Friends (sung off mic no lights)
04 I Remember
05 Nine Crimes
06 No One Need Know
07 My favorite faded fantasy
08 Coconuts skins
09 I don't want do change you - >
Insane (first verse) - >
I don't want to change you
10 Accidental Babies
11 What You Feel
12 Astronaut
13 Volcano
14 Cheers Darling
15 The Box
16 The Blowers Daughter

(No encore break.)

Edit: Thanks to Muan for the two song titles I didn't have

The Box
The Blowers Daughter

Mario, where were you sitting? I was in ORCH, Row L, right hand side.

So great to see Damien again-- it's been so long since he was last here.

Wanted to add to "the song that 7 people have heard" that one of the lines that stuck out for me (perhaps part of the chorus) was, "you carry your bruises long past your fall".

Great show; thank you for compiling the set list!
