Ok, this one is about God... and that's all i'm saying because i hate giving away anything about my writing. I wrote this earlier this year, around May time i think... or June.

The Authority, The Artist

Tossed around all her life; somehow she wished she’d never been born, although she realised the blessing’s tide would lap at her feet. She had her own ideas, she thought, about why she was here, on this obscene sphere of driftwood; eternally stranded on a galaxy of illusions. One pinch of her opinion from The Authority’s artistic implement brushed her independence aside with a brash nudge; auric, gleaming in eyesight.

Perched eagerly on her wooden seat, she bows her head in imitation and delusion of peace. Chants of loyalty exchanged but far from absorbed. Death to the heathen, death to the heathen. And the cotton wool around her head dripped with scarlet liquid of his paint while suffocating her very way of existence. The Authority's hand quivered for a moment, bridged between completion and demolition.

Maybe he’s just too critical, but he just can’t bare the sight of an impure painting.

I guess i'll bite :smiley23: Hope you like

Commuting Visions

Ironic how things fall into place

Now that I'm pondering how this all began

Years seem like minutes as I find myself lost

Navigating pointlessly without knowing left from right

Was there something unsaid?

You are my Sun and I the young flower trying to bloom

My feelings rising and crashing waves and you the Moon

Gravitationally pulling me as I try to pursue

This euphoric journey culminating with you

Optimistically hoping for the story book ending

Despite many obstacles my feelings never required mending

Was I wrong to dream?

Visions of us exploring foreign cities in perfect bliss

Exchanging delightful smiles and casual winks

Non-verbally communicating mutual desires for night to fall

Nocturnal yearning for the union of souls

The perfect ending and intimate spoon*

Is this the end?

Mistaken metaphors, symbolism, analogies and rhyme

Instead of implying, should I just express clearly

What I felt was obviously shown time after time?

The fact that I love you immensely

Feelings overwhelm me, and I continually see

Mirages of you on my morning commute and the rush hour home

Wondering when that time will be

Where neither distance, space nor time could keep us alone

*Spooning/ Spoon

1. A non-sexual embrace which provides the most intimate bonds between lovers and friends.

2. A horizontal hug where the friends/lovers lie back to chest, and fit into each others nooks. Like little spoons in a drawer.

3. A form of affection between couples where the man lays front to back with the girl.
