Apologies if this has already been discussed elsewhere, but have you spotted this in the tour schedule in the latest newsletter? O_O
|
yes yes, posted that on FB but forgot to post it here
well, he's mentioned a few times that he has done studio time already this year, in New York and Reykjavik, and that he already has a bunch of songs recorded |
Sounds excellent, even though with Damien you never really know. Fingers crossed for a successful session!

And what if I'm wrong
|
What if I'm Wrong was released for a Tibetan documentary so unlikely to feature on a new album. It was actually written before the release of the latest album :)
|
was "included" in a documentary, but sadly, the soundtrack was never released... you can heard parts of the song on the documentary but not the whole thing from start to finish... and it's a weird one production-wise, doesn't sound like the MFFF album at all, and more like those (lacklustre) songs with Melanie Laurent :)
Damien has said himself that he'd like to go back in the studio and re-record What if I'm Wrong, so there's hope (although I'd say, not much)... also people have been requesting it like crazy in recent tours and he's played many times, so he must know it's an appreciated song :) (like Stoic) |
Last update:
Recording in Reykjavík. Heading home to Ireland for the holidays to join Glen Hansard & friends for some music to help the homeless. Last night Home Sweet Home Ireland took over an empty government building (Apollo House, Poolbeg St) to give homeless people shelter for the winter. https://youtu.be/FsoX73Y5o-Y Home Sweet Home - Jim Sheridan joins the fight to end homelessness youtube.com |

The fact that he missed this makes me optimistic the recording is going well, and he's driven to complete it.
