"Bryce" Rocks!!!!

that's all...

keith and I thank him endlessly for allowing us to lean onto th stage for a couple songs!!!!

talk about an eskimo friend!!!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

i would elaborate on how much it meant to us, but i think you already know...

what a F***** show

how bout the 5,6,7,8,9 song medley?

bryce5.23.88 11-14-2006 08:25 AM

You're far too kind. It was great to meet you guys. That was the best concert i've ever seen in my entire life. I still can't believe the stuff we saw.

you're welcome. I hope to see you in the future.
peace.

can someone post a setlist for this show? because i can't even remember most of it... it flowed so beautifully. It's easier to think of songs that WEREN'T played than to remember what was played.

Soleillily 11-14-2006 08:30 AM

Damn A-MAZING!!!!!! :hello2: Holy cow...the medley!! No words.

It's too bad that I didn't know I could take in my camera....it would have been great to shoot...

Great to meet you both Damosmymuse & Bryce!!!! Love meeting me them eskimos! It's pronounced Soleil-Lily.....not soleil-lil-lil-lily.... :D oh those clever screen names!
Max, that end of night chat was class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hehe!!!

Valerie..always good to see you...I'll take you shopping soon...just don't be leaving LA anytime soon..I mean come on, where else would you catch a show like that...

Goodnight lovelies...

EskiMike 11-14-2006 08:56 AM

AMAZING show. The medley was incredible, but I also loved that he included some obscure material into the set. Then Go is always amazing, and I had never even heard Toffee Pop (great song).

Loved it. Best show I've seen in a LONG time

bryce5.23.88 11-14-2006 08:57 AM

i hope someone can post a setlist.

also if anyone has pictures... Please post them up. My camera was in my friends back pack which he had to take back to the car. They wouldn't let him bring it in. so i didn't get any pictures... but i trust someone here did.

sweet. peace.

AllThatLies 11-14-2006 09:12 AM

i'll do you one better than a setlist. audio recording of the full show will be out likely by tomorrow night :)

only real comment aside from great show.....if you take your damn digital camera to a show turn off the ****ing shutter sound. not only is it loud and annoying to those around it, it sounds just marvelous on a ****ing recording. thanks

medley was something like

amie > rat in the grain > cross-eyed bear > lonelily > grey room > bottom shelf > cold water. my memory isn't perfect but we'll know for sure when i convert the tape.

damosmymuse 11-14-2006 01:44 PM

thank you for the setlist...

and bryce is right, it was almost easier to think of what he didn't play...
and rt after the show my head was still spinning...

can't wait for the recording

bryce5.23.88 11-14-2006 03:27 PM

I can't wait for the recording... thank you so much for recording it. Where did you record it from?

And i fully agree about the stupid camera noises.

i was on the "upper level" on the right side. my comment was b/c of some idiot behind me that had to take 10 pictures per song whenever lisa would sing. then during cold water somebody with a disposable camera realized they forgot to take pictures...so they took about 15 during that one song.

GlttrGrrl 11-14-2006 04:52 PM

I wish they would have turned all the lights off for cold water so no one could take pictures during that song. They used to do that. Taking pictures at shows is dumb. I've done it, but I'm dumb. But that's just my opinion :)

taking pictures is fine...taking pictures with the loud shutter sound on and from the back or side without flash when there is poor lighting so you won't be able to see **** anyway.....that's dumb

Although I love the mood when he turns the lights off for a song or two, I'm a big fan of taking pictures at shows (no-flash, no weird shutter sound, of course). It's just a little keepsake you get to take home with you from the night - and you get to make pretty little icons out of them ;)

again, if you're in a place to take pictures. if you're off to the side and can't even see 1/2 the band, well...

srahman24 11-14-2006 05:50 PM

Hmm... good point. Thanks for taping the show though!

Didactic Destiny Scemer 11-14-2006 06:31 PM

Bryce is the best Eskimo Friend you can have.

Glad we could share your first Damien Rice show with you. And what an amzing first show for you huh? it was great. Being 4 feet away from him and Lisa was incredible. I don't know what else to say. I was completely speechless, still am. Just picked up the new cd. Actually held it in my hands and now listening to it for a few hours. Bryce, Mirriam, and Solilillilllily.. It was nice meeting you guys. See you in less than a month at the Orpheum?

AllThatLies 11-14-2006 07:20 PM

i'll be at both orpheum shows too so silence those cameras :p

Didactic Destiny Scemer 11-14-2006 07:52 PM

I'm there for both too. where are your seats?

i'll be 2nd row mezz center night 1 and 3rd row outside aisle of one of the center sections night 2. the theater is great. beautiful place with full sound coverage. speaker stacks on the floor on both sides, stacks in the air on both sides, and stacks in the center hanging from the ceiling. they also have front fills in the center on the stage..you can't escape the sound in this place.

doors 7. show supposed to start at 8. they took the stage a few minutes after 9. a good portion of the crowd was visibly annoyed.

zakurie 11-15-2006 01:53 AM

The crowd was annoyed because the show was originally booked for doors at 8/show at 9, but ticketmaster sent out an e-mail correcting the time to doors at 7/show at 8....and they didn't go on til 9. I wouldn't have had to take time off work to catch a flight had they kept the times right.
