Of course, if now we could just get maybe some soundboard recorded versions of Damo's shows! :P The dang levels are so often so low at the gigs, and it's like there's a mountain of difference between the little whispered words in the songs and when the band comes in full throttle :smiley29:

as an eskimofriend in sheer awe..... just wondering if somone might briefly explain who one goes about getting those gigs....

all you really need is a bittorrent client (i use this one).

after you've DLed and installed it you are ready to start downloading music (not to mention tv shows/movies/almost anything else you could possibly want). go to a torrent website like bootcity, dimeadozen, mininova or demonoid. then search for whatever it is you want. once you find it you will download a .torrent file to your computer. this isn't the actual file(s) you were looking for, it just tells your computer what it needs to DL. open the .torrent file in the program you just installed (bit tornado). a window will pop up asking where you want to save the DL to. pick a folder and then you're good to go.

hmmm, looks like it's time for that dvd vine again...

Okay, quick question. This is the first time I've ever done this, with the bittorrent and whatnot, does it really take like 15 hours to download?

it depends. how many other people are trying to DL it and how many people are ULing it?

Interesting question and I don't have an answer. But now it says its going to take a day, which seems a little much. But that's okay, I'll look around and see what's going on here.

If it's these Damo shows you're DLing, that sounds entirely possible as they're each several hundred megabytes.

Find an FAQ (there's almost certainly one on Bootcity somewhere) and run through the things about opening up ports. That'll probably increase the speed.

And if the DVD vines go out again, sign me up.

hate to bother you for the 12-04 show again but this show is special to me. I was fortunate enough to actually attend. By far the best show I've ever been to.

A long time ago I found a torrent of the show but it was a recording that ended about 20-30 minutes short. And the jam at the end was amazing, as you already know.

So if you could bless me with the full recording of the show I'd be extremely grateful.

Thanks a lot! hearing that last portion of the show was exciting. This particular recording was done by the guy sitting right next to me. We helped him conceal his mic in exchange for a copy but he never got back to us.

the 2-cd version of troubadour is incomplete. troubadour is actually 3-cds for the entire show

is that bonnaroo show you have the full show or is it the EP that livebonnaroo released with 4 songs? If its the whole show could you up that (bonnaroo) please.

There was a Damien Rice Hub? Is it down permanently?

it's been down for a few months now, so it looks as if it's down for good. how unfortunate.
