my last band was depeche mode. it was a huge and really great gig!
after that i've "just" seen a few local bands and friends.

Hmmm, Larriken Love I think...

An American band called the national. Well worth looking out for.

local band called hekz, amazing reminiscent hair metal

Was at a gig last night of a band called Drive By Argument with a couple of support acts. The first band on were called The Mode and were a glaswiegan version of the Kiezers but with aless rhythm and only one real idea so everyone was sort've thinking that the night might be a little bit of a dissapointment. Then the second band, born of glasgow uni i think, called Exist blew everyone away with a sort of Kasabianesque magic. Leaving Drive By a hard act to follow but they were fairly reved up cause they'd just been signed earlier that day and they gave a mind blowing preformance aswell..

So in summary 3 band to look out for. One of which to run away from.

I saw Snow Patrol and Gemma Hayes in a teeny little club here in LA on Wednesday. I can't wait for the new snow patrol album. I'm going to see The National this coming Wednesday :)

Republic of Loose were playin down in d local d other nite.....!!!! Gud times!!

Like Valerie I'm jealous too, especially now that you've told me that the Wrens are finally gonna be playing Holland, but that I'm gonna be in Denmark at the time :smiley35: :smiley35: :smiley35:

Last show I saw was Rogue Wave, bit disappointing. That was a while back actually, too long...... I need a new gig to look forward to :smiley13:

I've never seen Snow Patrol. I really want to though. Saw the national there awesome. New album should be good. I've been living of a really dodgy recording of Your All I Have from their radio debut.

Am very jealous that you get to see the national, but I take solace in the fact that it can't possibly top the gig they played in Whelans last year.

this should have been the encore but to get off stage they would have had to walk through the crowd so there wasn't much point, so they just carried on playing...
