Girl in the War - Josh Ritter |
Tori Amos & Damien Rice - The Power of Orange Knickers
or 'El Poder de la Bragas Naranjas' as someone posted on the YT comments :D :D :D loooooooooove this song so much, and Damien sings in such a subtle amazing way :) and those lyrics being alone in a kiss wowwowowowowow!!!! |
i love that song too. i bought toriīs cd because of it and i found a great album (parasol is my favourite).
they lyrics you mentioned... "wwwoooooowwww" indeed! and also "little pill in my hand that keeps the pain laughing". oh... and "bragas" sounds way better than "bombachas" (as we call them in argentina :p... not romantic nor sexy at all, hehe). |
"the waiting song" - damien
amazing song! i havenīt listened in a long time... and now i want to cry. very emotional and sad: "would you show me how to leave you alone?" (heart-breaking!) i was searching for lyrics on the igloo and iīve read it says "will you show me how to leave you alone", but iīve heard "would you..." myself... and now im thinking it was, maybe, what i wanted to hear, cause it has a powerful meaning to me... more like begging, which gives me the chills. |
bon jovi - "this ainīt a love song". maybe cause it was a single, it might sound cheesy, but it is a great great love song, imo. *clap clap* to jon for singing in spanish too (sounded better than the version album actually :p):
i was there :D |
(bon jovi mood here, he.) "if thatīs what it takes".
nice and hopeful song, with lovely lyrics :) I played the part of a broken heart upon a shelf I played that part so lonely and so well (uuuuffff!) Thought that love belonged to someone else not me and you Yeah, I know that you've been shattered, you been bruised We both know what it feels like when you lose But I'd bet my life on the roll of the dice for you If that's what it takes, that's what I'd do Tonite 's the night, I'm gonna prove it to you Do I have to break down, baby just to break through If that's what it takes, that's what I'd do If that's what it takes... I bet you counted all the tears I bet you've cried I bet you swore you'd never let love back inside 'Cause it hurt you way too bad to say good-bye Now, there'll be times when I might put us to the test And it's hard for broken hearts to just forget But I'm driving blind, I'll lay it all on the line for you If that's what it takes, that's what I'd do Tonite 's the night, I'm gonna prove it to you Do I have to break down, baby just to break through If that's what it takes, that's what I'd do If that's what it takes... So, when you feel like jumping, Just when your heart starts pumpking When you're standing out on that ledge-staring over the edge I'll be there to talk you down, I'll be there before you hit the ground If that's what it takes, that's what I'd do Tonite 's the night, I'm gonna prove it to you Do I have to break down, baby just to break through If that's what it takes, that's what I'd do If that's what it takes... |
