Roskilde 2006
So is anyone going to Roskilde this year? I think I might be, not 100% sure yet though!

i want to go, when is it??? i've been talking about it with a couple of my friends for ages, but somehow don't think i'll be able to make it this year!

its a weeks camping from about the end of june and the music is on early july for 3 days, i'll check the exact dates!

So what does "warm-up from June 25" mean?
Are those additional festival days, or just days that you can already stay at the camp site? |

but mostly the warm-up days are for those who actually enjoy camping with their pals and believe that beer covers all your dietary needs. like i said, the real thing starts thursday, so arriving wednesday or thursday is in due time to catch all the big names. however, it is always adviceable to go there to raise the tent the day the camp-site opens, even if you are not spending the first days there, if you don't wanna have to walk forever to get to the actual festival area. i'm lucky to be in a group who go there sunday to set up the tents. the down side of that is i have to stay in their camp, the 'don ølla' camp, named after their beer bong :smiley22: but they are nice people and all. and useful, cause some of them are carpenters=handy at building things to guard us from the rugged danish climate. |

DO PUT SOME GOODNESS IN THERE! i pop in every once in a while to write 'damien rice', i guess if a lot of people do that they will just have to interrupt him in his recording session/cooking class/tree hugging/whatever he's doing to come play for us. dontcha think? it's not very reliable news, but if you want rumours of which artists are gonna do roskilde you can always get them at roskilde festival's homepage: http://www.roskilde-festival.dk/obje...6f1000c&code=1 they are still just rumours, i guess they only put em on to create a certain buzz. also, keep in mind that all the artists are not signed yet - far from it. so keep requesting! |

rumours have it that QOTSA are playing at this years roskilde too. and mind you, those rumours came from morrissey when he (accidentily?) spilled some non-confirmed beans to a danish music mag about his, bob dylans and QOTSA's appearance this year. so far he was right on his own and bob's appearance there so... |
