Guitar signed by Damien

what do you think? if i had a bunch of money to throw around, i'd buy it! |
Sure, would be cool, but I don't really relate Damien to a strat.. hm
|
I never quite understood why people buy autographed things. I thought the point of an autograph was a sign of proof you meet someone. The most interesting part is that the guitar is signed to "John."
Really all you're buying here is a pickguard. As it is advertised, "stratocaster-style guitar", so it's probably not a Fender. |
well, if i had the money to buy it, i would legally change my name to John, as to avoid any questions.
|
nah, don't see the appeal that much either.
:) |
I bet there's some Damien fan out there named John going crazy right now! Why would anyone buy autographed memorabilia with someone else's name on it? Everyone you'd have over would keep asking you "Who the hell's John??"

I agree....If it was HIS guitar that was signed and being sold, that would be completely different story..... |

If you ask me, it's fake. From what I've read on here Damien is reluctant to sign autographs anyway, so if someone comes up to him with a white brand new electric guitar and asks him to sign it, don't you think he'll realise it's for profit making and refuse to sign it? Fraud if you ask me..
|
Side note - Does anyone remember the KCRW live in Studio in November of 2006 (morning becomes eclectic)? At the end of the broadcast they gave away 5 pairs of tickets and autographed copies of "9" to the winners of people that would call in. Did anyone here win it?

For what it's worth - the guys who get these electric guitars usually have the pick guards signed - which means they didn't go up to him w/ a new guitar, just a piece of plastic..it's also why these sites typically have the electrics signed instead of acoustics as most acoustics dont' have white, or light, colored guards - it also means you might be able to negotiate for just the pick guard and pop it on any cheap guitar you find (it's what they did) and save yourself some $$.
