Damien will play a solo show in Glasgow's King Tuts on Weds (10th June). Tickets on the door £25 - first come first served basis. Doors 7pm.

Hannah25 06-07-2015 10:31 AM

I'm leaving work early to queue for this - think the queue will be mental though!! Bit of a stressful way to start a gig. :smiley36:

carrroline 06-07-2015 11:17 AM

Good luck, Hannah! Wish I could be there. I bet this is going to be special. :)

borneoman 06-07-2015 04:58 PM

funny they say "solo show"

all shows are solo this tour :D

carrroline 06-07-2015 09:05 PM

Maybe that will change, eh :)

verenita 06-07-2015 10:16 PM

best of luck hanna. enjoy and tell us all ;)

Hannah25 06-10-2015 08:17 AM

Thanks for the good luck vibes everyone!

Was at the Edinburgh gig last night, which was amazing. Unexpected highlight for me was the version of Older Chests that was played. Proper updates to follow - very tired and also at work! :icon_kidr

borneoman 06-10-2015 08:56 AM

details details :) setlist?

Hannah25 06-10-2015 09:15 AM

I'll be able to post a proper setlist later - I have a (very very low quality) audio recording on my phone, but I can at least get the setlist from it when I have the time!

From memory, in the wrong order and with things missing (!):

MFFF unplugged
The Box
Delicate
Elephant
9 Crimes
Trusty and True (harmonium)
Older Chests
Volcano (with people on stage)
TBD
Insane (by request)

Encore:
I remember
Greatest Bastard
It Takes A Lot (with clarinet, drums etc)

He was pretty chatty and made some jokes about Scotland :)

verenita 06-10-2015 12:06 PM

thanks hanna! waiting for details now ;)

borneoman 06-10-2015 02:28 PM

insane <3 always makes any setlist 235435435423 times better

carrroline 06-10-2015 05:06 PM

Thanks Hannah!

Have a blast tonight and report back, please :)

glo32 06-10-2015 09:49 PM

I have been told that there was a new t-shirt at the merch table, did anyone see it??

Hannah25 06-10-2015 11:42 PM

Yes there is a new tshirt - navy with brown ladders like from the cover art - I really like it! :) they're also selling two totes and the usual cds/records.

Glasgow tonight was incredible - he played Sand (!) And played LLW with Lucy Rose on keyboard and vocals, and her cellist too. I went to see Lucy Rose solo a few months ago, so tonight was a total dream gig, tiny venue and right at the front.

Sorry for rambling - set list etc to come, need to get some sleep before work now!

borneoman 06-11-2015 12:06 PM

I just saw on Lucy“s FB that she did a song with Damien, guess LLW

Hannah25 06-11-2015 06:33 PM

Glasgow Setlist:

Delicate
Nine Crimes (keyboard -> guitar, I was right beside the keyboard, it was amazing)
My Favourite Faded Fantasy
Elephant
Sand (by request)
Colour Me In
Cheers Darling (strumming with wine glass!)
Trusty and True (harmonium)
Eskimo
The Professor
The Box
Long Long Way (with Lucy Rose and her cellist, incredible)
~
The Greatest Bastard
It Takes A Lot (with clarinet, drums etc on loop pedal)

He also mentioned the new new album, saying he had album constipation for years and now has album diarrhoea with a new one on the way :hello2:

Hannah25 06-11-2015 07:18 PM

I was lucky enough to see the clarinet makes its debut in Iceland a few weeks back. Hope he brings it stateside to Brooklyn next week :)

new album on the way?
Ok I'm excited.

Circa1992 06-11-2015 08:43 PM

Love the setlists, minus Older Chests (I hope he forgets about that one in Brooklyn)! And so glad to hear about the next album! Hopefully that will mean more live shows next year to look forward to!

Mahesh 03-07-2016 02:38 PM

Lucy has supported and sang with Damien! I opened for her last weekend and she was just great! Makes me feel a little closer to Damien and his music.
