I'm not exactly sure how I feel about it. It's a nice, fine little tune. But I in no way love it. Yet.

Too soon to tell...
At the moment I totally love it, but mainly because it's a new song, because it's different and because I was there, I think.

It's very beautiful, but maybe not dark enough to be one of my favourite songs.
Although I love that the song sounds so typically Irish and it fits perfectly with the lyrics.

I don’t care that it’s not dark and twisted. (I’m actually glad it isn’t…) It’s very uplifting. if you keep playing it, it’s almost like a mantra :)

I find this song so SWEET... like listening to it after been suffering, aching, for such a long long time

It is very Irish sounding, that's kind of new. I feel like Damien usually avoids that kind of overtly celtic/trad sound for some reason,, though there's an undercurrent in everything he writes (can't be helped I suppose, him being Irish and all). I like it. Good singalong. :)

I still really love this song... makes me smile everytime.
If you're a perfectionist and you get worked up about all kinds of mistakes that you made in the past, it's strangely comforting.

I quite like it.

I think it sounds very Damien, a simple acoustic pop song with depths.

I adore this. Another instant classic. I'm always struck by how boundlessly joyful Damo can be in crowd sing-alongs like these since he's so equally brilliant at conveying that solitude of deep pain and longing.

I had a dream about Damien last night. We were spelunking in that cave in Norway where he performed once. I woke up and immediately started laughing, it was funny. :D

Love the lyrics but I still prefer his more personal stuff, like at the end of Bastard when he sings "Please don't let un you don't know me, please don't let on I'm not here, Please don't let un you don't love me, I know you do, I know you do,... SOMEWHERE", kills me everytime!!!!

Least favourite of the new ones.. No so into it...YET :)

I first heard it one year ago, and it became one of my favorite unreleased songs, now it's going to be released and I'm so happy!!!

I think this one is definitely a grower, and will be pretty powerful live due to the sing along ending!

i'm glad i hadn't heard the original recording last year, as i don't like it much, but i am obsessed with the LA version.

First time I heard this song was 10/18/14 @ The Box in NYC. I liked it and enjoyed the audience sing-along at the end. My daughter will upload it to her youtube channel shortly.

I hope the studio version has a choir on it...sounds soooo much better than the ones without it.

I also liked the story he told before the song, saying it was about many things Ireland, catholics/protestants, men/women, he told the story of a mercedes they spotted in town when they were kids so they thought it had to be a protestant car cos catholics don´t have money, lets scratch it :D
