Gonna see Tim Christensen tonite!!!Anyone know him? He's a great singer/songwriter from Denmark. And tomorrow I'm gonna see Josh Ritter. I don't know his music very well but tix were only 6 euro so I figured what the hell.. Any thoughts on Josh?Edited by: Mojo_Pin1980 |
he's in paradiso tomorrow isn't he? in the small room? and in the big room hooverphonic if i'm right? o you have a great night!! josh will play with damien the 25th of february as well at paradiso. josh is on the other voices1 cd, i like the song. |
Yup, he is. I dunno if Hooverphonic's playing though...
i just checked the paradiso site, and josh is the "voorprogramma" for hooverphonic..
No, that can't be right. I bought separate tix for Josh.
well if he's in the small room and hooverphonic in the big one (and later at night) you will be able to walk right through. even if the josh ticket was cheaper. most of the times it works that way.
Ah okay. I don't know a lot of Hooverphonic songs, but I guess they're pretty good..
i like them. and they're indeed pretty good. so: enjoy!
Thanks, I will! But first up.. Tim Christensen! Ever heard of him? |
no! but i guess i have to deepen myself into danish music. i don't know any danish music but at the eurosonic i saw this amazing danish band in the musicschool at thursday's.
Surely you know Saybia and Kashmir??
josh ritter is amazing, he is one of my favorites i think youll love him hopefully |
Quote:
nope. am i being stupid now here?? |
Uhmm.. no. But they are quite well-known. Esp. Saybia. Kashmir's much better though!
Josh is pretty f**king amazing, look out for 'Wings', its classic stuff
yeah, i love josh ritter, he's really cool! i can't pick a favourite tho!
€6?................€6??!!!!!!! |
Quote:
Yup! Only €6! Tim Christensen was AMAZING!!! Much better than I expected! It was the perfect combination of rockin' out and beautiful acoustic songs. And he had the coolest drummer.. the guy looked like Gandalf in his twenties!Damn.. he sure could play though! And after the gig I met Tim, got him to sign my ticket and he said he'd be back in Amsterdam in 6 to 8 weeks! You should all check him out.. he's great! Try the songs Surfing The Surface and Whispering At The Top Of My Lungs! |
I missed the this thread.
Does Tim Christensen have a web site? And Josh tonight? Kathleeeen Josh is a cutie (not that you would care.) It's a little too (traditional) folky for me, so I don't listen to him much. He lives in Boston, btw. But he's one of the nicest guys I ever met! I had quite a chat with him while I was waiting for the Frames after their gig. So, all the power to him! Have fun tonight! |
how was it? how was it? and what about hooverphonic?
He's defnitely a nice guy.. very likeable! He seems very shy but he does talk a lot during the gig and he's funny as hell! It was actually a seated acoustic solo gig.. I had no idea! But it was very interesting and very beautiful the whole gig through! You could really tell he was enjoying himself cuz he was bantering as if his life depended on it!Did you know there's a conspiracy between the UN and the Dutch military to take over Idaho? He also changed the lyrics to a John Lennon/Beatles (?) song into an hilarious anti-Bush song!He sang his last song without amps and got the whole crowd to sing along in a falsetto-ish voice! Anywhooo.. had a great time!
sounds great! i'm looking forward to the 25th to see him as well!
Sounds like a fun night. I guess it's too expensive to drag the band with him for touring. Tom McRae also brought only Oli and Olli with him to the US.
Awwww, Oli Sorry, I'm a bit off topic... *coughs* i can't wait to see Josh in March! |
i'm relly off the topic are they my feet

Anmd Paul Noonan, frontman of Bell X1 (and Damien's former drummer) was there, too!
