This is a really newbie question I bet... but on TAB's when it says some thing like: "5th Fret Capo" What does it mean? Thnx! |
It meansyou have to placea capo on the 5th fret |

Capos are great because if a song isn't in your key you can transpose up or down so it suits your voice better. Some songs are easier to play when capoed too, I think. Shubbs are the best capos! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...hubbdeluxe.jpg |
ha ha... thats my capo

This is the type I use - very easy to place and move withoutbending the strings ... http://images.google.com/images?q=tb...3fMJ:www.zootm usic.com.au/database/images/thm_product_359.jpg Edited by: Enoch |

Hey it's my capo, too! http://www.eskimofriends.com/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif Oh and guess what? I was watching the Austin City Limits gig again and guess which capo Damien was using? Yep! I looked at older pics and he had one like sarahukuk posted, so he must havepicked up a Shubb somewhere on the last American tour. |
what's good about the shubb? (apart from you guys and damien using it...) |
it's really easy to handle and it's pretty exact!

I can't live without one, this one looks far better than mine but i haven't seen this brand anywhere..... |
how do those shubbs work - do you just squeeze some how, or do you need to turn the screw?
|
you need to turn the screw only the first time you put it on your
guitar! it's to adjust it on your guitar neck! you can find some information about it here: www.shubb.com/capos.html |
thanks for that, chris. i guess this explains it all: http://www.shubb.com/GIF/capo1.GIF |
Ewwww, Cille, that animation is disgusting and pervy...

Personally, I like a kyser capo. Can be kept easily on the Haedstock whereas the Shubb is a little more fiddly. If you want to see this and want also to save seeerious money on strings picks etc go to http://www.stringbusters.com Ta |
|
^ I don't like those cos they stick up and feel like they get in my way while I'm playing. Ibought one onceand took it back and exhanged it for a Shubb. Quote:
