Hi, I am new and please forgive me if this topic has been covered already.

I can't get hold of an 'O' tab book. Has one not been released yet? If not, does anyone have a date of when it will be released.

Thanku

Krystian 11-19-2004 11:28 PM

did you check out the official site? Maybe there is some info there?

Jgrg1984 11-20-2004 04:50 AM

someone mentioned it got pulled because of certain details with the illustrations in the book.

ZachC 11-20-2004 03:24 PM

yeah it hasnt been released yet ... keep an eye out though should be real soon!~!

Most of the tabs online have the basic chords (OLGA) but if you watch Damien play there kinda off a bit.....

So if the tab book is more accurate I can't wait for it to come out!

PhoenixDeviance 12-03-2004 12:03 AM

apparently it has been released

It was out on 19th November 2004.

I know because I saw it in Virgin on Picadilly in London, and was shocked so I asked a shop assistant who went to check the date it was released.

yay to us! i feel probably unnecessarily proud of myself!

and as far as tabbin silent night, i think that would be pretty easy,
considering theres no guitar (or any instrument that doesn;t happen to be
named lisa) in the song! haha

Careful though, because tab books are often put together by twat guitarists who insist on playing things in a manner that's far more complicated than the way the song is actually played, just because they know a chord vAriation, that requires a sixth finger.Don't always trust them... Best to just to take your cue from the tab book and thenuse your ear and the record...

dark_red_iris 12-12-2004 09:44 AM

is there any scans on the internet does any 1 no??

...that is very true. the best way is to take your cue from the book and then use youre ear...evenmore so, and this is what i do, is to watch the videos. look at damos hands and what he does. i do this with pretty much every artist i learn.

I'm sorry but I think people should only use the book if they can't get anywhere near the song! I know from experience that most 'official' tab books have some awful tabs in them! For instance Amie is played wrong in the tab book...it's not tabbed by Damien himself therefore it's not likely to be correct. There will probably be some tabs on the internet that are more correct than in the tab book...I don't really reccomend those things. Hotwhiskey is totally right, the people who make the tabs in the books have no clue half of the time.Edited by: cheese
