Haha! Cali & Cille--You guys are too cute :) I love ya guys ...
I wish I could say that I had a beer with Damo or that I was all cuddly with him..but actually it was very much a fan meeting an favorite artist type thing.... I did alot of the talking, praising..whatever you want to call it..hehe..(I was a wee bit tipsy) ;) he was gracious enough to not slap me upside the head :) Then, I listened in as he and Ray spoke (chimed in very little), which was pretty much AWESOME!--that is when those pics were taken.
A friend from Dublin tells me that Damo is not that accessible anymore around town...so that I was very lucky to have run into him like that...all I could say to that was YAY!!!!

I wasn't going to post this last Damo story...because you know, I didn't want to come off as gloating or anything like that... thanks eskimos for being so cool. :)

And yes Sister, really really really really really really lucky...:smiley9:

gomezxico 11-30-2005 09:18 PM

does anyone have any idea where the shirt came from? I wonder if there is a story behind it!

Arpie 11-30-2005 10:23 PM

I think I read somewhere that it was bought in a second hand shop...

SisterMidnight 12-01-2005 12:59 AM

i knew he got his lowden guitar in a second hand shop but i never heard that about the patchwork shirt (or jumper as some of us call it :p ) where did you hear that? (not that i doubt it just interested...)

cille 12-01-2005 09:08 AM

i've become a picture thief now all in the name of patchwork :smiley9: (hope you don't mind livi)

Arpie 12-05-2005 04:14 AM

Oh and the fluffy hair is fully back in force now, too. Fab. Fluffy hair, patchwork shirt, he really is a quite good looking chap. ;)

Btw - I'm not sure where I read that the patchwork shirt was from a second hand shop, or if I just imagined it. Will post the link if I stumble across it again at any point. :)

what i was thinking was, what if the shirt used to belong to a fan, said fan goes to a gig and sees him wearing the shirt...said fan goes to another gig and sees him wearing it again...or even better, stumbles upon this site, this thread, and see's people appreciating the shirt!!! too far fetched? not interesting still? sorry...it seemed interesting at first but now in retrospect it seems I am taking my ideas too far:smiley26:

cille 12-05-2005 01:11 PM

^^^lovely pic sis midnite! (and livo)

hehe, yes yes i had that thought too, and of course that is not completely uninteresting :) i was just being a prik ;)

Arpie 12-05-2005 09:12 PM

Actually, I did read a story from a fan who'd met Damien about the patchwork shirt somewhere, and it included a fabulous photo featuring aforementioned fashion item... ;)

*Goes in search...*

I think Damien must like all things patchwork, too, aside from the shirt. Behold...

he's like my long lost soul twin!

that's what i wear! and that's what my guitar is like (battered that is, his is a far superior one)!
and that's what my hair would do if i was further down the "post-pubecant" road.

oh! and my musical venture "patchwork" is gonna be on a cd near u sometime soonways.

Spamlet 03-07-2006 11:38 AM

Yay, patchwork!

I've got a picture of Damo's arm around me while he's wearing the infamous shirt. That's right, folks: the legendary shirt has been on my back too!

I myself am decked out in the classic orange " 'Mr. T.' shirt".

I'll see if my pal has a scanner and if so, I'll post it here...

SisterMidnight 03-07-2006 06:54 PM

yeah do!

jeez... that shirt's older than i thought it was... i'm surprised it's holding up as well as it is...
