I actually thought he handled really well and was funny about it.
Take a look at my post in Other Music on the show - we were the ones in fourth row center who he was having fun with over my wife's constant "shsssng" and were the reason for his cracking up and laughing throughout Long Black Veil!! And then looking straight at me and grinning at the "drunken gibberish" line in Sail Away - funny!!
