Here is something that I wrote....
I bought some shoes at the karma store today
So I can walk to you
without feeling the weight of our separation over me
Is this the way it’s always going to be?
‘Cos it’s not always plain to see
When I get to you
you look at me that way
And as always I turn away
‘Cos I don’t feel like being swayed by you anymore
So please don’t glance like that
We are not always given this or that
You lost what it is you lack
And you won’t be able to bring it back

that made it mean more than it would be
