In an interview in the Telegraph, Damien said about Amsterdam:

At a recent show in Amsterdam, he had the audience on edge because he was on edge, not talking, switching restlessly from one song to another, but the pay-off was astonishing as he performed an uplifting new song of redemption, Trusty And True, with a local choir, bringing the room to its feet.

“That was a very strange show. When the energy is on fire, it’s amazing. It’s so easy, it doesn’t feel like a struggle. But I was a bit derailed by all the record promotional stuff, I lost my focus, and I was searching for a song to express whatever it was that was within me. At the same time there is a great value in a night like that. The thing running through me is the same thing that writes songs. It’s the fighter about to get into the ring. It’s like, I’m not here to entertain you, I’m here to get this out, whatever it is.”
