It's easiest if you just use dedicated ftp client. First, you can set up the re-dialing, and also it's much easier to navigate around the remote server and drag and drop files.

I need the SFTP (secure FTP) protocol to log on to my uni account, so I use FileZilla: http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/ which isn't a commonly used program. But I'm actually very happy with it and it's free. It does regular FTP also, of course.

Have a look at the screen shot there. Left is your computer, right is the remote one, bottom your download queue.

A dedicated client is also generally faster than the browser interface.

Paudie, that is so sad. They don't teach you how to use ftp? You should switch degrees! [img]smileys/smiley2.gif[/img]
