I agree with everything you said but I think "the joke he knows not when to stop" also makes perfect sense. This song is an amazing testament to just how versatile Damo is with all forms and types of instrumentation. Of course it quotes from AYNIL at the end but given the context of the causes it seems to me completely appropriate to do so.
