Anyhoo, further investigation today leads me to think the tracker has a problem with the client I was using - BitTornado. Have now switched to Utorrent and things are moving - thanks to the others here who solved the problem for prompting me to do this
I still find it odd on Mininova that some torrents listed, including this one, never show anybody as seeding or leeching even though there clearly are...that something to do with the tracker too maybe
