I'm eager to know why, after 7 years without a headline gig in Ireland, he has chosen tonight to return. I'm sure a big part of it is paying homage to Whelan's and what the place means to him personally, but I really hope that this could signify Damien's revival, even if it only leads to a smaller, home-based tour. As heartbroken as I am that I can't loiter around Wexford Street tonight, with or without a ticket, I really hope that all the true fans on here who are attending tonight enjoy this special gig and return with plenty of treats for us.
