Triple J is the #1 alternative youth radio station in Australia and the right place to stick in Damien. I don't know what show or DJ exactly either. See if you find one who plays Augie March (who played in Dublin last fall) and that DJ should be open minded enough to consider Damien.
In fact, Triple J is as important to a career in Australia as Nic Harcourt of KCRW is to an US career, so I suggest you take your time finding the right person there.
