Funny, the two seemed to trade off techniques on their respective instruments for this one.
By the way, I love how the whole band uses more "outlandish" instruments in interesting ways, it really gives the music a whole different dimension than if Lisa had some synth player standing behind her.

The oddest extended technique that I've seen in the last year was at a Sunset Rubdown gig when one of the band played her glockenspiel with a small vibrator.
